Betrayals - Recap

The scene opens with Nikita and Michael in their hideout and Nikita telling that they are going to have to find a way to open the black box. Michael is tapping on the box and tells that Birkhoff is the only one who can crack the box and says that if he gets Birkhoff, he blows his cover as a double agent. Nikita says that if they crack the box, then Michael will be free. Nikita asks about Alex and says that they should have heard from her. Meanwhile, Alex is in Percy’s office with Amanda strapped to a chair that is electrocuting her. Amanda tells her not to struggle. Percy walks in and tells Amanda that she can put her debriefing of Alex on his desk and she tells him that it is over. She tells Percy that she found out that Alex is Nikita’s mole. Percy tells Amanda to cancel Alex, but Amanda has more. Alex tells Percy that she is Alexandra Udinov. Percy tells Amanda that will be all. Amanda is shocked that Percy wants her to go and Percy tells that he can’t trust anyone right now. Alex smiles and says now that he knows who she really is, he wants to talk. She tells that he can kill her, but Percy tells that he is going to save her life.

Michael walks up to Amanda and asks where Alex is. She tells that she is still doing her debriefing with her and that it will be a couple of hours. Michael goes down to where Birkhoff is at and asks what is going on with the security detail. Birkhoff tells Michael that he has to kill Nikita because he is being held prisoner to protect the last black box from being decoded. There are only three others besides him who knows the way to break the box and he shows that two of the three are dead. Only one remains, Malcolm Mitchell. Birkhoff jokes and says that he thought Nikita was supposed to protect the innocent. Later, Malcolm is dropped off at his home with a CIA detail on him. They are shot and three men tell Division that the CIA detail is down. Malcolm gets inside to find Nikita there. She tells him that there are men after him because of the skill he possesses. She has him hide as the men come in. With Malcolm’s help of giving a distraction, she is able to take the three men down and lead him to her hideout. She tells that she took him to a safe house to crack a box.

Michael arrives and they ask how long the box will take to crack. He says that it would take years to crack because he doesn’t have the right equipment and that is at the CIA. Back at Division, Birkhoff tells Percy that Nikita has Malcolm. He tells that Malcolm is going to need to go to the CIA to break the codes. Percy says that he is working another angle and goes back to Alex. He asks her why she is set to die for Nikita’s cause. She tells that it was Division who killed her parents. Percy says that it wasn’t his Division that called out the hit, but a group called “Oversight”, a European group. He says that he was only following orders. He pulls out a black box and says that he is going to show the truth to her. She watches a home video of Alex when she was a child. He says that it was her father’s right hand man, Sergei, who wanted the hit made. He asks if it was her plan to get revenge on her family or was it Nikita who made her believe that Division was the bigger threat. Meanwhile at the CIA, Ryan Fletcher gets a call from Nikita, disguising her voice. They set up a meeting and Michael tells Nikita that she needs backup on sight. Nikita asks about Alex again and says that she should have been there by now. Michael tells that he will check on her. Back at Division, Percy shows the video of the attack where her family was killed. He reveals that it was Nikita who killed her father, not Percy.

Michael goes into Amanda’s office and asks where Alex is. She asks about “Operation Sparrow”, the secret mission that Percy is planning. He asks where Alex is and she tells that he should talk to Percy about that. She asks about the operation and Michael tells her to talk to Percy about it. Meanwhile, Nikita talks to Ryan where he should go. She notices that Division agents are tailing him and tells him to go to a locker to get a bag. He tells him to go toward the station and Birkhoff tells the agents to get the bag. Ryan is attacked and they steal the bag. Nikita tells Ryan to head to the exit. The agents open the bag and a dye pack explodes with money flying everywhere. The police chase after the men. Back at Division, Michael bursts into Percy’s office to find Alex there. Percy says that Alex is Nikita’s mole. Michael turns to Alex and asks why. She is not happy with Michael. Percy tells that since Alex was his recruit, it is his mess to clean up. He puts a gun on the table. Michael picks it up and aims it at her. He changes positions and points it at Percy. He tells that Michael can’t shoot him because the Guardians will upload the boxes once his heart stops beating. Michael tells that he can shoot him in other places then. However he tries to pull the trigger and is electrocuted. Percy says that Alex should know not to trust your right hand man.

She asks if he is going to get up and Percy tells that he will. He says that he knew for a while that Michael, Nikita and her were working together. He says that it is like chess and that he has to be one move ahead. He says that she could turn to the other side. Alex says that she wouldn’t ever join Percy. However, Percy shows that her tracker and Kill Switch are now active again. Alex is confused and Percy tells that there is a kill switch that will kill her if he pushes the button. He tells that all he is asking is to lie to Nikita or he will kill her just like she was prepared to do coming into Division. Nikita meets Ryan outside the station and he tells that she needs to bring Malcolm in and give him the Black Box to be able to decode. She tells that she doesn’t know and Ryan assures that he has to go through the proper channels to be able to do this at all and tells her to think about it.

Nikita gets back to the hideout to find Alex there. She has a necklace around her neck that allows Percy to monitor her and be able to see what is going on. Alex follows protocol and tells that Michael is being held at Division because of an incident and only non-essential agents are allowed to leave. She tells what Percy wants her to say and tells about a location that they need to go to in order to get important information. Alex moves over to a box and pulls out something. She tells that they have to meet with Ryan to pass on Malcolm and the box. Percy calls up Roan on the phone and tells him that when it is done, kill Nikita and Alex. Later that night, they arrive and Nikita gives over the black box to Ryan and gives over Malcolm. Ryan tells that he is happy that he could help. He is about to tell “Kill Switch”, but Nikita interrupts and tells that it is her tracker. She asks how he did it, but Ryan doesn’t say anything.

Percy goes to Michael, who is locked to a room. Michael tells that he knows that it was Percy that killed his family and he tells that his family wasn’t the target. He tells that he knew that Michael turned when he accepted the assignment for “Operation Sparrow”, the government take-over. He says that Michael should have been against it all the way through. He tells that he has been one move ahead of him and Nikita the entire time. Percy talks to Amanda and says that “Operation Sparrow” is going to happen soon and things at the CIA are going to shake up and there is going to be a transfer of power. Meanwhile, Nikita and Alex arrive to the location that Alex told Nikita about. Nikita realizes that it is supposed to be an ambush and tells that they are going to ambush them. However, Alex points a gun on Nikita and asks if she was the one who killed her father. Nikita tells her to calm down, but Alex fires her gun and the episode ends.
