Falling Ash - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens in Simsbury, Connecticut. An ice-cream truck driver is talking to someone telling him that he is clean now and that he is doing alright. A man walks up to the ice-cream truck driver and gives him a package. The man gets a call and it is static. Suddenly, the man reaches in the package and in a trance, walks up to Senator Charles Ervin and attempts to shoot him. He fails and is killed in the process. Meanwhile, Nikita is at Birkhoff’s and asks Birkhoff for $100,000. She says that they have a lead on Oversight and Birkhoff says no. He says that he is not going to join them. He says that she and Michael need to find a new place to live. Michael comes in and shows them a news report involving the ice-cream man attempting to kill Senator Ervin. Michael says that it is P9, a program that Division created to bread assassins. They used neuro-hypnotic waves to put them into a sleeper mode. At Division, Amanda tells Sean about the program and wonders why it is activated now.

Back at Birkhoff’s, Michael says that Dr. Joseph Mars, a brain waves specialist, was in charge of the mission and that Division was sent in to kill everyone. However, Nikita doesn’t think that this is P9. She says that they need to focus on taking down Oversight and that they don’t have time for a hunch. Birkhoff goes up to Nikita and tells her to start looking on Craig’s List for a new place. Back at Division, Amanda and Sean walk up to a recovering Alex and tell her that they have a mission for her. She says that she doesn’t want it right now, but agrees when Amanda tells her that she will give her 5 people involved in Sergei’s group. Michael goes to the P9 Facility that was burned down by Division. He is about to go in when Nikita shows up. He says that he thought that P9 wasn’t real. Nikita says that she wouldn’t let him go by himself. Nikita says that she believes in Michael. They go inside and Michael tells that Mars kept a safe. Alex goes down to visit Percy and asks about Operation Falling Ash. He asks about Alex’s new wound and Alex says that Nikita and her got into it. He says that if he is going to talk, he wants tea every morning. She says that it could be arranged.

Back at the P9 Facility, Nikita and Michael are looking around when they hear a gun being loaded. They turn around to find Owen is there. He says that he is looking for Mars because he saved him. Alex talks to Percy and Percy says that no one wanted that talent to go to waste and so he ordered Mars to be spared. Owen says that Percy gave him strict orders to keep Mars alive, but kill everyone else. He says that he had a safe with his research and Nikita and Michael find that Mars made time to come back for it. Back at Division, Percy says that Mars worked for him, but then disappeared. He says that Nikita knows about the attack and Alex asks how he knows that there is going to be another attack and he says that there will be because the first didn’t succeed. Meanwhile, Mars is approached by the man who gave the ice-cream man the gun and he asks Mars if there are more. He says that there are. Alex looks on the computer and finds the location of the Senator.

Later at the event, Michael, Nikita and Owen are there. Alex walks in too. Nikita sees Alex there and sees a woman approaching the Senator. Alex tackles the Senator Ervin and Nikita takes out the girl and carries her off. Owen asks if Nikita has a Black Box and Nikita says that they are using it for good. Owen says that he is going to find the other Black Boxes and destroy them. He says that he was on the Regimen withdrawals when he double-crossed her. The woman wakes up. Her name is Alicia and she doesn’t know what is going on. Birkhoff doesn’t like that everyone is looking for Alicia and says that they need to go. Michael tries to intimidate Birkhoff, but he knows that he won’t hurt him. Owen comes up and says that he will though. Birkhoff tells Michael that he is on his own. Nikita talks to Alicia and she tells that she went to the Vorey Clinic for rehab. She recognizes Mars. Owen says that they need to bust into the clinic and Nikita says that she is going in posing as a junkie.

Later, Nikita gets inside the Vorey Clinic and says that she needs help. She talks to Michael and Owen and says that she is in. In the car, Owen says that Michael is lucky and says that Michael got out of Division with the woman he loves. Michael says that there are days that are hard. Owen asks why Michael and Nikita are still doing this and says that they can’t see the threat coming. At Birkhoff’s, Alicia comes out to Birkhoff and asks for some pizza. They talk and Alicia tells that she was Head of IT at a large company before she got high. Meanwhile, Alex gets a visit from Sean and he asks why she didn’t kill Nikita. Alex says that she wants to know why he is there and he says that he is there to set her free. Back at the Vorey Clinic, Nikita gets into the facility and sees several people hooked up to the “treatment”. She gets into Mars’ office and finds the information. However, Mars comes in and asks what she is doing there. She tells that she is looking for the interview rooms. However, he doesn’t believe her. He has her surrounded.

Mars puts her in a chair and says that he has Venezuelan guards that have no issues killing Nikita at all. Michael calls Birkhoff. He tells him that he needs him to hack into Vorey. He manages to get in and Alicia says that Birkhoff is like “Shadow Walker”. Birkhoff is shocked that she knows the name and says that he “knows” him personally. Owen and Michael go in and are guided by Birkhoff. Inside the Facility, Mars tells men to check out the alarm and Nikita takes the moment to take down one guard as Michael and Owen deal with the other guards. They get into Mars’ office and finds Mars and Nikita. Owen asks for Mars to give him everything on the Regimen. However, instead, Mars activates the sleepers in the Facility. Birkoff has the telephone on speaker and Alicia hears it too. She smacks Birkhoff in the head and gets a gun. Nikita, Owen and Michael go in the hall and stop all the people infected and Mars is shot in the process. Nikita gets a call from Birkhoff stating that Alicia is on the move. Nikita looks up who would have been the target since Alicia is not going to where the Senator is. She sees that the real target was Judge Katerine Bridges. She is ruling on a shutdown of a Venezuelan Oil Rig.

At the same moment, Alicia gets to the Judge’s home and opens fire on it. Birkhoff comes and tries to talk to her. However, she turns around and starts to shoot Birkhoff. Nikita and Michael arrive and Nikita knocks Alicia unconscious again. Later, Owen says that he is going to go now. Nikita tries to have him stay, but Birkhoff says no. Owen says that it is better that he leave and says that he now has a way to Detox from what Division did to him. Meanwhile, Alex is looking at the men connected to Sergei Semak, he father’s killer. Sean comes up and tells Alex that she better kill Nikita next time that she has her in her line of fire because she will be doing her a favor for when Oversight gets her and tortures her. Nikita walks in to find Birkhoff and Michael looking at a news report and Birkhoff says that he is running a scan on all the media connected to the Black Box. Michael picks up a snow globe that Birkhoff was hit with. Later, Owen talks to Gogle and tells her that Nikita doesn’t have a Black Box and that he wants to get all the locations of the boxes and then kill Percy. The episode ends.
