Crossbow - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The episode begins in Maxwell Air force Station, North Dakota. A man walks in with a defense personal; he enters the computer room, kills nearly all the soldiers working on the computers and then asks one of them who is alive, to give him a list of motherboards, that he wants. The motherboards it turns out haven’t been active in 20 years. He then takes the motherboards and shoots the soldier. Later, Percy hands his computer expert the motherboards. She tells him that it would take time for her to get them working, as the technology is ancient. He tells her to handle the motherboards with great respect, as the fate of the world lies in her hands. Meanwhile, Nikita is having nightmares about all that has happened recently; her dream ends with Percy’s voice welcoming her back.

Meanwhile, Ryan and Seymour find out that 3 of the 5 defense scientists who were working in the Maxwell Air Force Station in the eighties on a secret project, have recently died under mysterious circumstances. They were working on a classified satellite project. The team then figures out that Percy would need the use of a satellite to guide a missile. He already has enough plutonium for a warhead, so that part of his plan has been successful. Ryan proceeds to warn Kendrick about Percy’s intentions. Kendrick in turn informs Ryan of the attack on the air force station, by one of Percy’s guys. The team then recognizes the guy called Robbie who attacked the base, from the security footage. Alex tells Nikita that she knew him from her training days. The team then proceeds to search for one of the two scientists who is still alive, named Donald Henderson.

They find his whereabouts, and also discover that he has recently purchased two tanks of Propane. They in the meanwhile find Robbie heading for some destination. Alex and Sean are sent after him, while Nikita and Michael decide to go after Henderson. Henderson meanwhile, isn’t too happy on seeing them and points a gun at their faces. Nikita and Michael ask him about the secret project called ‘Crossbow’ that, he was working on. Michael tells him that if he won’t help, he could at Least tell them the whereabouts of the other scientist Keith Mizuyama. Henderson is shocked to hear the name, and lowering his gun tells them that Mizuyama is dead. Mizuyama died of cancer 10 years ago. Then just as Henderson is about to tell them about ‘Crossbow’, Division vehicles drive to the spot, and armed agents get out and begin shooting at them.

Michael manages to eliminate the agents by blasting a propane tank. Later, Nikita and he find Henderson dead, nearby. Meanwhile, Sean and Alex are at a government research reactor in upstate New York. Sean spots Robbie’s bike nearby. They then see Robbie sneak out, and Alex accosts him with a gun. Robbie immediately recognizes Alex. Meanwhile, Sean comes from the behind and renders Robbie unconscious. Meanwhile, Nikita finds a box labeled Crossbow, in Henderson’s trailer. Meanwhile, Robbie when questioned professes his loyalty to the Division. It is also shown that, he is slowly managing to loosen the restrains on his hand. Meanwhile, the box Nikita found contains a video cassette. Seymour plays it.

In the video Henderson explains about Crossbow and how it would have series of satellites equipped with particle beamed weapons, which would be used to stop Soviet missiles. Seymour tells Nikita that the satellites could be used to attack fixed objects on earth. Percy by killing all the scientists made sure that no one can disarm it. Meanwhile, Kendrick and Ryan brief the president about this issue. On the other hand Percy is informed that the boards are online, and he has full control of the satellites. Percy then decides to test the satellite. Meanwhile, Alex tries talking reason to Robbie. Just then Robbie manages to free the restraints on his hands. He then runs out with Alex and Sean behind him. Sean then shoots Robbie on the chest, just after he has activated a device and dropped it down a duct.

Before dying Robbie warns Alex to get out, “or you won’t have a future either” he says. Kendrick meanwhile, informs the president that they do not have the control of the satellites anymore. Just then the president receives a call from Percy informing him that, one of the satellites has been directed to the Eastern Seaboard. Meanwhile, the device Robbie dropped is heating up the reactor core. Nikita warns Alex to get out of the place. The reactor explodes, just as Alex and Sean manage to make a getaway. Meanwhile, Percy is again talking to the man he met a few weeks ago, for a membership in his group. He is ready to give a demonstration of what he can really do to prove his worth to the group. He tells the man, he has already begun, by controlling the most powerful man in the world.

The president meanwhile tells Ryan that Percy once again called, with an odd request. The president then makes a press statement regarding a blast in the reactor. He says it was an accident. He then quotes the nuclear scientist Edward Teller, just like the man on the phone with Percy had wanted the president to. The man seems visibly impressed. The man calls up Percy and tells him that he has the group’s attention. He then tells Percy that he wants to take it to the next level. Later, Percy calls and tells the president to scrap the peace talks and instead to declare that, the peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban have failed. The president is threatened with the use of the satellite, on the common populace. The president is just given 3 hours to make his decision. Nikita in the meanwhile, seeing no way out, decides to go into division to disable the satellites.

The team then chalks out a plan to do it. The plan in short is to blow up the Division server, on the way bypassing all the security. Meanwhile, Kendrick tells the president that there is no way to infiltrate Division, as it was built to withstand any and every kind of attack. Ryan later indirectly informs Kendrick that the marines do not need to be sent in, as Nikita and team are on the task. Meanwhile, Nikita and Michael are slowly making their way into Division. They then manage to reach the final level and were expecting a ladder into a more than 100 foot tunnel, which seems to have been removed. Nikita decides to rappel down, with Michael as the anchor. Nikita then rappels down. Nikita then manages to make it to the server room and take down the tech support. Seymour then tells her over the com link which one she needs to incapacitate.

Meanwhile, the Division trackers are activated, by one of their men dying. Percy immediately dispatches a security squad to the sever room. Percy then puts Division on lockdown. Nikita meanwhile plants the charge in the server, just as Division agents are nearing the server room. Michael realizes Nikita is in trouble and goes after her. He sticks the rappel hook into the ground, with Seymour warning him that it won’t hold his weight. Meanwhile, Nikita is hides behind one of the server towers, just as the agents enter the room. Nikita then instructs Michael to blow the charge, with him telling her to wait, as if he blows the charge, she will be trapped.

Meanwhile, Sean and Alex are also attacked by Division agents. Meanwhile, the Division agents find the charge and Nikita tells Michael to blow the charge. Michael blows the charge and Nikita is shown falling to the ground, by its impact. The episode ends at this point.
