Kate puts the nurses in quarantine after a suspected anthrax outbreak - but all is not as it seems. Beth thinks Justyn tricked her into sleeping with him and plots revenge. Anji attends her school reunion, and meets the teacher she used to have a crush on, while new couple Jamie and Lia are appalled by their own soppiness.

Kate's eagerness gets the better of her on the nurse practitioners' course, and Dr Callum grows jealous of Justyn's popularity with the patients. Lia launches a personal crusade after her car is clamped, with unexpected results.

A job offer from overseas puts Jamie and Lia's relationship to the test, while Kate tries to defend an increasingly unstable Dr McManus from a new registrar and army doctor.
