Fuck The Lemurs - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Jackie and Kevin bring Grace to the therapist and she tells her that she thinks if she thinks bad things they are going to happen. She doesn't feel comfortable telling them that she wants to be on medication. They ask what is going on. She can't get her thoughts to slow down, but it doesn't work. She has a lot of nightmares about animals and fire. She's not sad, but she's afraid she's going to start pulling her hair out again. They say she can be on pediatric xanax to spot treat it. She wants to do it, but she doesn't want them disappointed in her. The therapist asks for alone time with her parents and she asks if things have changed in the household, if there is any stress. Jackie brings in the prescription to Eddie and she's really bummed on the Grace topic. He'll fill it when he can.

It is flu shot day for the doctor's and the nurses are having fun giving them shots. Kelly talks about his old job, it was a lot more exciting. The man they are working on got his cornea scratched by a toddler. Kelly is told to take over for Jackie. She's being told she can't administer meds. Gloria is trying to handle it so that it goes away and she wants to protect Jackie. The pharmacy is the only one that knows. She asks her not to tell anyone, she needs to maintain a facade of dignity with her co-workers. She's upset and realizes who could possibly say something. She's angry.

O'Hara works on someone and Jackie comes in and snaps on her for apparently telling Gloria. O'Hara is livid and cannot even deal with Zoey. Lenny shows up and asks that they promise not to laugh. There is a kid that is stuck in a chair. Cooper laughs despite that. O'Hara brings her in to the office and snaps and says she doesn't talk about it, because she doesn't like talking about it. What she expects from Jackie is the benefit of the doubt. She's said nothing and she has been asked. She says that it is humiliating. Jackie and O'Hara discuss what to do and then she goes to take the chair off of the kid.

Cooper is meditating in Gloria's office and she wants him to go away. He tells her that he's getting married and wonders why people aren't talking about this. He wants to reserve the chapel and she doesn't want to do that. She tells him the statues are gone. He wants to get them back and she says they can't, because they are being held in Staten Island. He says he'll pay, because he has money coming. He wants to do this for his birthday wedding. Kelly talks to the patient that got hit, because he wants to change the world for a lemur. Zoey seems to dig him and be flirting on her end. Lenny comes in and they lie and say they are not flirting, apparently. It seems the lemur guy thought they were getting on well, but Lenny pretty much stakes his claim saying that he'll fight for what he loves. He kisses her on the forehead and leaves. Zoey tells him that Lenny is her boyfriend and the lemur guy feels stupid.

O'Hara goes into Gloria's office and she's on the phone trying to get the statues back in return for a donation. They want $7,000. She talks to her about the situation with Jackie and she tells O'Hara if she needs extra money to let her know. O'Hara goes to talk to Cooper and looks around his office. She seems a little flirty and she's curious. She tells him that he's about to get married and he has never asked her out. He tells her he would do that. He asks and she says no. He asks why she'd make him do that and she tells him that ego is ego. She kisses him and congratulates him then walks out.

Kevin is still dealing with some business and needs the kids to be babysat more. He's missing dinner. O'Hara asks her if she wants some fresh air. Jackie tells her that she's finally get over the sickness, she's been off the pills for a week. She's wondering why she's doing this, since she feels like she's losing everything. O'Hara tells Jackie about what happened with Cooper and Jackie laughs. O'Hara tells her that the feeling passed after she got that out of the way. Jackie says thank god for that, because she may have had to stop being friends with her. O'Hara says “just to be clear, Cooper is where you draw the line?” and Jackie says she guesses.

Eddie gives Jackie the prescription back and apologizes, saying that it is his job. She seems to be understanding of the situation. O'Hara feels bad about it. O'Hara gets the pills and gives them to her in the chapel. After she leaves, Kelly comes in to talk to her. She asks him if he'll cover for her, she'd like to slip out early and have dinner with her kids. He says if that makes life easier, yes. She gives the medication to Grace and she asks how long until she feels it. She asks how she's feeling. She says that it is like the edge of having ten ideas all at once, only maybe she doesn't have to have them. Like she can say freeze and walk right up to them and see if she wants to let them in or not. She doesn't think they'll go away, but if she doesn't want to think about them she doesn't have to. She also says her heart is moving a little slower. She says it's just for now.
