This was just one of many shows that tried to get people to vote. While the message was there, the storyline used wasn't worthwhile. I would rather have the episode talk about the importance of keeping the right to vote.
Because the episode featured rappers, many of whom don't vote or lost the right to vote due to criminal activity. If you don't plan on votting, I don't need you to tell others to do something you choose not to do.
And if Flex had a family member running for office, where was this cousin in previous episodes. Or why wasn't the voting cause mentioned in the previous seasons such as student council and homecoming. Something that could lead up to being able to vote in elections.
