Asleep At Heaven's Gate - Recap

The opening of this season includes Haley writing and designing a fantastic notebook of a letter to Lucas. She's telling him that she misses him. Chase has decided to go on a date with Alex and then gets a text from Mia saying that she thinks that they made a mistake and that she misses them being together. Brooke and Julian are engaged and very happy together. Haley has found out that she is pregnant and she is telling Nathan that she is and that she thinks that it is going to be a girl. They are very excited by this.

Clay and his woman are laying on a couch falling asleep and he tells her that she needs to go to bed. She goes into the bedroom and he sits quietly and hears a gun shot. He wakes up to it and she comes out like nothing happened which provides strict confusion. She says that she is fine and they embrace.

Nathan and Haley are in bed talking about having their baby. He wants the baby to be exactly like Haley. He wants his heart to break every time every time he sees her because she reminds him of her mother. Things like that. This is fantastic that they are having a baby but Jamie is fairly curious about the process of creating and having a baby. This puts the parents in a weird position. First Nathan tries to talk to him, but he panics and ends up confusing him with silly stories.

Mia decides to go see Chase while he is working and when she goes in to talk to him Alex comes in right behind her and says "hey, boyfriend!" This upsets Mia and she leaves. Chase and Alex speak about it afterwards and he tells her he does like her. She goes to talk to Mia under the guise of wanting to make sure there are no hard feelings. Mia wasn't really having it. She blames her for breaking them up and Alex says it is clear that Mia was the one that made this mess all on her own. She also tells her that she fully intends on making him happier than she ever did. She also asks Chase to hire her as a bartender since Grubbs isn't around and she wanted to hang out with him more, anyway.

They also go to the doctors for two separate appointments. Nathan is being checked up before he begins his season with a new team and Haley is going for a routine pregnancy check up. This episode is worse than the last episode of the Sopranos, but luckily we're in the beginning of the season so things may start making more sense.

As for Brooke and Julian, they are definitely engaged now and are having a bit of a pre-honeymoon honeymoon in which they spend their time absolutely ravaging one another while they can. It is totally cute when they have moments talking about making babies, or at least wanting to. They even talk about how he has been planning his wedding since he was nine. He talks about loving Grease 2 when he was younger and how that has inspired his wedding plans. They decide to get dressed up in their Grease gear and have some fun together. Haley comes in with impeccable timing and realizes what was going on. Grossed out she decides to leave but before she leaves she blurts out that she is pregnant again and not to hate her and then runs out.

Unfortunately for Brooke and Julian and Brooke things don't stay so good. This time it isn't a problem between her and him, she has been betrayed seriously by her mother and friend. Brooke didn't deal with the financial aspects of their company. Her mother and Millie dealt with the rest of the aspects and it seems that they rearranged the way that their books would look. Basically, to get backers they lied and said that they were making more of a profit than they really were. What Brooke did have to deal with was getting arrested for these bad decisions the other two made. Not only that, but she has lost everything she has built in the process.

Clay and Quinn are having what seems to be a wonderfully lazy day. They are having fun on the beach. Making out, running around, and having the fun conversations we do with our partners. He takes note that the beach has been empty all day. He seems worried, but he seems to have a sense of humor because really he's more interested in skinny dipping with his hot girlfriend.

After a while spent on the beach, they are nearing the end of their day. That is when Quinn notices that she has a bleeding wound on her stomach. She gets worried and wonders what is going on. That is then when Clay notices that he has a wound in the middle of his chest. Quinn sees it and gets worried, too. That is when Clay realizes that his dream was real. That they are in fact unconscious on the floor of his bedroom.

One important thing to note is that Nathan made a promise that he'd stop by Clay's before he left. He told Haley this because she hadn't heard from them in a while and was worried. She wanted to tell her sister that they were pregnant again, too. So, Nathan went to Clay's house and knocked on the door for a while but no one answered. He eventually walked off calling someone on his cell phone.
