The Other Half Of Me - Recap

Brooke remembers being a little girl, and sitting on her front steps,
listening to her parents fight inside. She walks down to the sidewalk
and sees a "just married car" go past. The bride throws her veil to
Brooke, who picks it up and smiles.

Jamie claims his rabbit is having a negative emotional reaction to today
being Brooke and Julian's wedding day, because he has a crush on her.
Jamie picks up half of a bumper car token from the night stand and asks
if Brooke has the other half. Julian says no. It's from a girl that he
met when he was Jamie's age. They went on a bunch of rides together. At
the end of the night, they only had one token left so they split it in
two. Jamie asks what her name is, but Julian doesn't know. He says it's
not actually about the girl, or her name. Just about somebody out there
being for him. It's a reminder that his other half is out there somewhere.

Jamie finds out that as best man, he's supposed to have written a
speech. Nathan tells him that mom probably didn't tell him, so her
speech would be the best. Julian asks Jamie to deliver an envelope to
Brooke, since he can't see her.

Haley looks pretty wiped. She doesn't know why she overslept. Apparently
that mattress is pretty amazing. Brooke gives her her maid of honor
gift, it's a locket with a picture of Jamie inside.Brooke tells her
she'll fill the other side soon. Jamie drops the envelope off and Haley
greets him. They one-up each other about the speech, even though Haley
says it's not a competition.

Brooke's envelope has a CD inside that says "The moment I fell in love
with you." She apologizes to Haley for what she's about to do. She puts
the CD in, and dances. She says this dance is what made Julian fall in
love with her.

Skills helps the ushers get ready for the big day. Mouth and Chase
figure he's overreacting, and they're right. They humor him. He's going
to make them pull double duty as security.

Brooke's mom arrives, bearing her wedding gift. Haley lets her in and
leaves them together. Brooke is very apprehensive but opens the gift.
It's the veil from when she was a little girl. Victoria remembers when
Brooke brought her the veil and told her someday she'd wear one.
Victoria doesn't remember her response. "Don't ever get married, Brooke;
it'll ruin your life." Victoria says it's a good thing Brooke stopped
taking her advice somewhere along the way. She'll see her at the church.

Quinn and Alex talk before the wedding. Quinn wants to tell Alex a
secret, even if she's a big old blabbermouth. She shows her pictures of
Katie, the crazy stalker lady. Katie came back because Quinn took those
pictures. Clay thinks it's his fault she came back. Alex says it's
past-tense, they need to just leave it be. However, if she's feeling
guilty, she should just tell him the truth. She promises Quinn that it
will be okay.

Jamie and Nate are in their tuxes and ready for the wedding. Jamie says
he's almost done writing the speech, and reads some of it to his dad.
It's all stilted and full of big words. He didn't want it to sound like
it was written by a kid, but Nathan reminds him he is a kid. Just be
himself. Luke always started with a quote from one of his favorite
authors, maybe Jamie could find a good one.

Julian arrives, and Skills asks him how he's doing. He did a background
check on Julian. He changed his name at some point. Skills says Julian
looks nervous. He lets him go by, but says he doesn't trust him.

Haley and Brooke start getting ready. They get all teary but stop so
they don't ruin their makeup. She starts crying anyway, so they're going
to have to redo her makeup.

Skills is using a metal detector wand. Mouth finally tells him this is
getting ridiculous. Millie arrives, and Skills tries to send her home to
get her invitation that she forgot. Mouth vouches for her, she's with him.

Quinn starts taking family pictures and Julian's parents snipe their way
through it. Julian asks them to pretend they like each other, just for
him. Just this once.

Chase, Mia and Alex arrive at the same time. Both Mia and Chase tell
Alex they are just there as friends, but she ignores them.

Quinn wants pictures of Brooke with her parents, but her dad has yet to
arrive. Victoria says that's par for the course, and Brooke shushes her.
He'll be there.

Haley sees how beautiful Brooke is in her dress. She just came to tell
her she loves her. Victoria comes back in. Her dad isn't there. He's not
coming.

The wedding starts. Julian gives Jamie his half token. He doesn't need
it anymore. He's found his other half. He remembers his moments with
Brooke as her mother walks her up the aisle. Julian says "Wow" and Jamie
says "Brooke looks like an angel." Julian tells him that's why he's not
nervous.

Julian and Brooke wrote their own vows, and they exchange them. They are
pronounced man and wife, and Julian kisses his wife.

They have cupcakes for cake. Haley wonders why the bride and groom
always make people wait so long before they show up for the reception.
Haley tries to get Nathan to tell her about Jamie's speech, but he
refuses to get in the middle of it. The DJ announces their first dance,
and Brooke and Julian take to the dance floor. They exchange I love
you's and kisses to the party's applause.

Chase discovers that the bartender at the reception not only stole his
drink, but his followup line. To add insult to injury, this drink is
delicious, Mia declares. Unlike his specialty.

Quinn asks Alex why she's sitting alone, as she and Millie join her. The
DJ announces the groom will dance with his mom, and the bride will dance
with her dad. Julian looks concerned, but Brooke says it's okay.
Julian's dad takes her out on the floor. She thanks him, and he says
she's his daughter now. Brooke's dad promised her he'd be here tonight,
and Julian's dad tells her he meant it when he said it. Julian thanks
Sheila for all she did to get the wedding up and running. She says she
can deal with his dad. Whenever she looks at him, she's reminded that he
gave her the single greatest gift of her life. As Julian beams, she says
"An Aston Martin." And you!

Jamie rehearses his speech as Haley comes over. She asks if he's ready.
He's nervous about the speech. He's afraid he won't be good enough, and
Julian will be sorry he asked him to be his best man. Haley tells him if
he really doesn't like his speech, he can always tell a nice story about
Julian.

The DJ announces him, and Jamie goes up. He quotes J. K. Rowling, then
drops the speech. The story he tells is about the half token, and goes
over really well. Haley gives her speech, and it's a trip down memory lane.

Brooke tosses the bouquet, and Millie catches it. Clay and Quinn talk,
he's glad she's having fun. It's like they got their life back. She
tells him the truth about why Katie came back. She promises she'll
always be honest with him, and he tells her he's sorry she had to go
through all this. They hug.

Mia and Chase are making out in the back of the limo when Skills opens
the door. Everybody applauds. Brooke and Julian are redirected to a
truck so the limo can stay occupied. Alex is really hurt, but she still
realizes that this day is about Brooke and Julian - and she's really
happy she was here for them. Quinn tells her she doesn't have to try so
hard. She's beautiful, and fun, and any guy would be lucky to be with
her. Jamie is dozing when Haley sits down next to him. She tells him his
speech was by far the sweetest, most honest, and most memorable. She's
never been more proud of him. She tells him he's going to have a little
sister, and he says he hopes she'll be just like Haley.

Brooke and Julian drive away to start their happily ever after.
