Lucas: You know I use to watch you?
Peyton: When?
Lucas: Well Freshman year, Softmore year, both summers actually.
Peyton: Stop it! (pause) What did you watch?
Lucas: Your legs mostly.
Peyton: What?!
Lucas: No I'm serious. You know from up close they're a little chickeny.
Peyton: Shut up!
Lucas: But from where I was hiding, they were pretty awesome.

Haley: I need you to talk to me.
Nathan: Haley, I'm not trying to shut you out, okay? I just don't understand it enough to let you in yet.
Haley: Whatever it is we are going to get through it together. I'm right here, Nathan. I'm not going anywhere.

Rachel: I know you saved my life. I'm going to find a way to thank you.
Nathan: You don't have to do that.
Rachel: No, I want to. (kisses Nathan on the cheek) You have Cooper's eyes.

Cooper: Is everything okay?
Rachel: Yeah, I’m fine. I was just scared that you --
Cooper: The baby Rachel. I meant is the baby okay.
Rachel: Cooper, when we were arguing, I was so angry and I was hurt. So, when I said I was pregnant I was just --
Cooper: Get out! I said get out!

Episode Title: Things I Forgot at Birth

Things I Forgot at Birth is the title of a 2005 album by The Absentee.

Peyton: What did you watch?

In "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most", Lucas tells Peyton "Nice legs" after she tells him he has "nice hands" when Lucas misses a pass during the game.

Lucas driving Whitey to watch Skills play at the rivercourt parallels a scene from the "Pilot" where Keith drives Whitey to the rivercourt to watch Lucas play in order to convince Whitey to put Lucas on the team.

When Haley asks Brooke if she and Lucas ever talked about what would happen if Brooke was pregnant, Brooke references "How Can You Be Sure?" when Brooke has a pregnancy scare and Lucas swears he'll be there for her. When Brooke asks Haley if she and Nathan ever talked about what would happen if Haley was pregnant, Haley references "Return of the Future" when Haley and Nathan spend the night together, and later get into a fight over birth control.
