"Partners (US)" Summary |

Partners was created by Jeff Strauss & Jeff Greenstein, and James Burrows lent his directing skills to the production (he directed the first group of episodes). Both Greenstein & Strauss worked on the comedy hit Friends, and cult favorite Dream On. Greenstein also worked on Will & Grace. The show was produced by Jeff & Jeff Productions, which also produced the FOX series Getting Personal. James Burrows is the director’s gold standard (the go-to guy when you want a high quality director). The series starred Jon Cryer pre-Two and a Half Men, and pre-The OC Tate Donovan. The show had a strong cast and crew, but failed to make it past the first season on FOX.
Owen (Tate Donovan) and Bob (Jon Cryer) are partners at an architect firm. The series starts with Owen and Alicia (Maria Pitillo) engaged to be married. Complications arise, though, when Bob and Alicia meet. Alicia and Bob do not particularly like the other.
