Episode discussion for: 03x09 | The Crossing (Nov 19, 2013)

As soon as I saw Fusco survive and Carter all smiles, I knew she was doomed. Speaking of Fusco, he did a nice job portraying an enraged man once he got free from those handcuffs. I was a little worried the actor might have suffered an aneurysm doing that scene!

I'm sorry she's gone... I really liked her character and her acting... I knew something would happen between her and John but there were no sparks at all, no sexual chemistry. It was almost uncomfortable watching them kiss. Was it just me?

It was more of a "tender moment between two people who care about each other" than a "hey there, I wanna get jiggy with you baybee" kinda thing.

Yea, i'm inclined to agree the kiss was more a sign of affection than love. The execution made it seem more intense than it was, which I also found a little awkward to watch.

I liked Harold asking Root about her relationship with the machine. Then her response, then his response, which was just funny.

^her "he wasn't your first" made me think, in a future ep, we'll see the previous "choices" who just weren't good enough - kinda like they did in Robocop 2 with the prototypes.

I've expressed my disinterest in scenes that don't further the plot, you don't even want to witness my Tolstoy worthy rant on entire episodes. However, that I would genuinely enjoy watching.
