Person of Interest

Person of Interest

You are being watched. The government has a secret system, a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know because I built it. I designed the Machine to detect acts of terror but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. People like you. Crimes the government considered “irrelevant.” They wouldn’t act so I decided I would. But I needed a partner. Someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You’ll never find us. But victim or perpetrator, if your number is up, we’ll find you.

Person of Interest follows former CIA paramilitary operative, John Reese (Jim Caviezel), who is presumed dead and teams up with reclusive billionaire Finch (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City by initiating their own type of justice. With the special training that Reese has had in Covert Operations and Finch's genius software inventing mind, the two are a perfect match for the job that they have to complete. With the help of surveillance equipment, they work "outside the law" and get the right criminal behind bars.

When Reese's skills are noticed by Carter (Taraji P. Henson), a NYPD detective, and Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a police officer who Reese uses to his advantage, they investigate the crimes together and find that the right person, information, and at the right time, is able to change everything. Creators J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk (Lost) have done it a great service to unveil this action packed thriller to the networks.

4x10: The Cold War recap: Finch is ordering a sandwich in Chinatown. He then makes his way down into the railway station, and discovers Root wearing a bear costume, standing over a handcuffed Sam. Root explains that she just got done entertaining at a children's party, and Sam complains that they restrained her. Finch and Root remind her that she's no longer safe now that Samaritan has identified her, and Finch offers her the sandwich as a gift. Sam takes it and Root helps her, and then Sam asks how long they're going to keep her locked up. Finch says that they'll do so until they know it's safe, and Root says that it would be impossible to lock her up against her will anyway. Sam demonstrates that she's already picked the handcuff, and Finch says that Reese is handling their current Number and should be fine on his own... read more.

4x8: Point of Origin recap: Reese, dressed as a SWAT officer, goes in and takes down three men with his paint gun. A woman shoots him in the leg and a buzzer goes off, terminating the training exercise. The woman, Dani Sukva, points out that Reese didn't say to stay off the fire escape and he concedes the point. Finch checks in with Reese, who says that their new Number doesn't need instruction. Finch has received Dani's background check from Fusco and points out that she has nothing distinctive in her history. Reese congratulates the recruits and tells them to clean up. One recruit, Kane, points out that Dani broke ranks, and Dani tells him that she's not done breaking things. Kane hints that it'd be a shame if there was a training accident and walks off. Another candidate, Alex Ortiz, asks Dana to teach him some of her tactics... read more.

4x7: Honor Among Thieves recap: Sam sits in a car and watches a timer. As she waits for her fellow thieves to return, Finch calls to tell her that they have a new Number.
