Person of Interest

Person of Interest

You are being watched. The government has a secret system, a machine that spies on you every hour of every day. I know because I built it. I designed the Machine to detect acts of terror but it sees everything. Violent crimes involving ordinary people. People like you. Crimes the government considered “irrelevant.” They wouldn’t act so I decided I would. But I needed a partner. Someone with the skills to intervene. Hunted by the authorities, we work in secret. You’ll never find us. But victim or perpetrator, if your number is up, we’ll find you.

Person of Interest follows former CIA paramilitary operative, John Reese (Jim Caviezel), who is presumed dead and teams up with reclusive billionaire Finch (Michael Emerson) to prevent violent crimes in New York City by initiating their own type of justice. With the special training that Reese has had in Covert Operations and Finch's genius software inventing mind, the two are a perfect match for the job that they have to complete. With the help of surveillance equipment, they work "outside the law" and get the right criminal behind bars.

When Reese's skills are noticed by Carter (Taraji P. Henson), a NYPD detective, and Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman), a police officer who Reese uses to his advantage, they investigate the crimes together and find that the right person, information, and at the right time, is able to change everything. Creators J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk (Lost) have done it a great service to unveil this action packed thriller to the networks.

5x8: Reassortment recap: A med tech prepares to give Sameen another injection. She describes how she's going to take out the tech, and then does so. Sameen then smashes the camera watching her and uses the barrette to pick the key card lock. The orderlies are unable to get in because Sameen has sabotaged the lock, and Lambert has them get a fire axe to break down the door. They discover that the axe is gone, and Lambert shoots the door out and goes in. Lambert searches the attached shower room and confirms that Sameen isn't there, but sees some loose dirt beneath the sink. He kicks the sink off the wall and finds a maintenance shaft beyond, and realizes how Sameen escaped... read more.

She knows about Fusco finding the bodies in the tunnel, and he wonders what to tell his superiors about why he was there. Fusco wonders who he can trust, and asks her what she knows. Root hands him a file with fake IDs so that Fusco and his son Lee can disappear, and admits that it's her fault that he's in there. She should have looked into the city planner, not Fusco, and warns the detective that there's a reason that Reese and Finch are presumed... read more.

5x6: A More Perfect Union recap: In the Decima lab, the doctor checks on Sameen and reports that the mission failed. 5x5: ShotSeeker recap: Finch and Bear arrive at the new safehouse, and Reese calls in from the Real Time Crisis Center. He asks if the simulations are up and running at the subway station, and Finch says that there's no news yet. Finch says that he's updating security at the safehouse, and Reese reports that he's tracked down their new Number: Ethan Garvin, a sound analyst for ShotSeeker, a new NYC program. The police have placed microphones around the city to pinpoint gunshots within 50'. Ethan rules out false positives before dispatching police. Ethan is wrapping up a 12-hour night shift and drinking coffee, just as gunshots come in... read more.

5x4: 6,741 recap: Sameen wakes up and finds herself strapped to a table as doctors work on her. They insert a chip behind her ear beneath the skin and assure her that soon she'll never know it's there. Greer and Lambert watch from the next room, and Lambert points out that Sameen has killed six of his men in the last nine months.
