A "friend" from the future, Andy Baxley, shows up in Pickford and offers the Diffys a ride back to 2121. The family is ecstatic, but Phil, knowing Andy's true character, doesn't trust him. Sure enough, Andy's devious side shows through when he blackmails Phil into defacing the statue of the Pickford Friar, the founder of the town. When Phil decides he has had enough, Andy plays a trick on him.

Phil cracks walnuts when he is upset.

We know that even if Phil and his family go back to the future Phil and Keely can still visit each other in the future because like Phil said time travel is fast.

If you look closely at Phil when he's frozen as a statue, you can see he's slightly moving.

Terry Rhoads, the man who plays Mayor Da Luca, is actually Lise Simm's (Barbara Diffy) husband.

Phil has an A- average.

Episode Quotes

Lloyd: (talking to a statufied Phil) I know you're a statue, right now, but could you say something to let me know you're getting any of this? Oh, the silent treatment, huh? Well, two can play that game...oh, you are your mother's son.

(Phil is smashing walnuts with a mallet)
Keely: Phil, you're obviously upset. You always crack nuts when you're upset.
Phil: Keel, just give me another walnut. I'm not upset.
(Keely passes Phil a brazil nut)
Phil: (yelling) That's not a walnut, that's a brazil nut! Come on Keely, get your head in the game!

Episode Goofs

Pim mentions that Andy's time machine seats four. There are four Diffy's, plus Andy and Curtis, so how would they all fit in there?

When Friar Fred knocks down the Diffys' door, the smoke comes from the opposite direction.

How did Keely get the milk off her shirt so fast, without leaving a stain?

Phil says that in third grade, Andy put something in the teacher's desk drawer and blamed him. But they don't have grades in the future, and the teachers most likely don't have desks.
