Pokémon: The Tower of Terror

The gang on their way to Lavender Town see the woods suddenly become foggy later they see a big tower which Brock and Misty are afraid to go in so Ash and his Pokemon go and check the place out but soon the ghosts kill Ash just for him to play with them but he can't play for them become he is on his ''Pokemon master'' journey so he goes back to his own body and is all right after all.

Although this episode has been banned from most TV stations, you can still catch it on the Pokemon video/DVD, "Primeape Problems

Ash literally dies in this episode, and is revived later. (This is the only time a character dies).

Misty: Say what?
Ash: I'm feeling like a ghost myself. Blaah! (Ash with a skeleton mask over his face).
[Misty and Brock freak out and scream.]
Ash: (laughing) I was just testing you guys. (Removes mask) If we're going to find a ghost Pokemon we have to face it head-on.
Misty: You must be crazy!
Brock: Don't ever do that!
Pikachu: (angered) Chuu! [shocks Ash.]
