Pokémon: Charizard Chills
The gang are sailing on Lapras when they almost crash into another Pokemon trainer who wants to battle Ash The trainer heard about Ash from the Trovita Gym Leader and he wants to put his Pokemon Against Ash's. when the trainer uses a super-powerful Poliwrath on Ash's Charizard it is more than anyone expects it to. Charizard finally decides to obey Ash as not only his trainer but his freind too and the two become best freinds forever.

Ash and co. are sailing on Lapras again. Ash only needs one more badge to get into the Orange League. They see a boat coming their way. Misty thinks that the boat will hit them, but instead the boat goes to the side of them. A guy comes out of the boat snickering. Misty doesn't think that it's funny, and she tells the guy to apologize to Togepi. The guy thinks that her anger makes her look like a Tentacruel. Misty takes that as a compliment. The guy notices Ash right away. He introduces himself as Tad. Tad is trying to get into the Orange League too. Tad says that he battled the Trovita gym leader right after Ash. He likes to battle strong opponents. Tad challenges Ash to a battle, and Ash accepts his challenge. They decide to battle on the nearby island...Read the full recap

Misty: A Tent (pauses and starts dreaming about Tentacruel) I only wish I could be that pretty!
Tracey: Huh?
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Misty: Hmph! It's hard to belive but some people actually think that Tentracruel are really nasty looking.
Ash: Misty, I think this guy is one of those people!

Episode Goofs
When Ash and the others were on the boat, Tracy's headband was green instead of red
Towards the end of the episode before Ash battle against Tad again he is standing next to Charizard and he only has the black shirt and no hat, then they show Misty and Tracy and when they show Ash again he has his whole set on then they dont show Ash and then they show him again and he only has the black shirt again.
This episode was aired before Misty Meets Her Match! in the U.S. causing some confusion on when Ash actually obtained his 3rd badge. It caused even more confusion when U.S. fans saw Ash's Charizard disobeying him once more after the airing of this episode.
When saving Pikachu and Ash from Team Rocket, the Pokédex identifies Charizard's new attack as Rage when it was actually Dragon Rage. Charizard learned Rage in Primeape Goes Bananas, as a Charmander battling Primeape.
