Episode Notes
When this episode aired on Cartoon Network's Pokemon Master Marathon on June 2, 2007, the Pokemon: The Johto Journeys had its theme song shown instead of the correct Johto League Champions theme. However, when this episode's title was shown, it was the correct format for this season.

The Miltank dairy may be based on the MooMoo Farm in the games, though that is found to the west of Route 38 while the dairy in this episode is located just outside Goldenrod City.
Milton states that the most important factor in winning a Gym Battle is defeating the Leader's best Pokémon in a fair match.
Nurse Joy comments that sometimes trainers also need to recover after a tough match. This can be seen in Ash who briefly considers just returning to Pallet Town.
