Pokémon Debut: Toxicroak (shiny).

Ash, Dawn, and Brock meet Team Galactic (Saturn as his Grunts) for the first time.

Ash's Pikachu and Paul's Electabuzz settle their differences.

Toxicroak may be the first shiny Pokémon to be seen in the Diamond and Pearl series.
However, there are many ongoing arguments in the fandom over this. Some people claim that merchandise depicting the alternate-color Toxicroak is evidence that the anime considers the alternate-color Toxicroak to be the normal coloration.

Ash is seen polishing his badges for the first time.
