Series 2 - The Final 50 - Heat 1 - Recap
Tonight is the first of the heats to see who will make it through to the next stage of the competition.
Highlights are shown of the 10 contestants picking their songs rehearsing and being coached by John and Cece.
The first to perform tonight is Emma who sings Hero. Neil is critical Emma’s new image. Next to perform is Jade who performs I Want To Dance With Somebody. Neil tells her she has put in quite a good performance but Pete believes that it’s a step too far for her. Eddie becomes emotional after performing the song Still when Simon tells him it was the wrong choice of song. Helen sings the song Home Soon and is told by all the judges that it is the best performance so far.
Tim performs Don't Go Changing. Nikki tells him that his performance was OK. Michelle is up next and performs the song Don’t Be A Stranger. Simon is impressed and believes that she will sail through to the next stage. Daria performs the song Underneath Your Clothes and is told by Simon that her she has the right looks to be a pop star and overall it was not too bad.
Chris performs the song End Of The Road and Nikki tells him he has an amazing voice. Jason is told after he performs that it was the wrong choice of song. Rebecca sings Stop and receives good comments from Neil but Simon is not nearly as impressed.
