The Green Candle (1) - Recap

As Zack convinces Tommy to ask Kimberly to dance, Rita decides to use the green candle to destroy Tommy's powers. The candle is made of magic wax that is connected to Tommy's powers. Once it's gone, his powers will be, too. Later, before Tommy can ask Kimberly to the dance, Rita sends putties. The two rangers are overpowered, and Tommy is kidnapped and sent to the dimensional prison. As he fights Goldar with the hope of stopping the candle from burning, Finster creates the Cyclops, a shape-shifting monster.
The alarms at the Command Center go off, and the rangers see that the Dragonzord is attacking Angel Grove! However, Zordon tells them that his sensors indicate that it is an impostor. After wasting time fighting putties while the monster is destroying the city, the rangers then face the Cyclops in their megazord. Elsewhere, Tommy manages to use Goldar's sword to teleport out but was unable to get to the candle. He then morphs and summons the real Dragonzord. Tommy's zord manages to hurt the Cyclops enough so that it can't hold its shape, and then it vanishes.
Later, at the Command Center, Zordon informs them that if the green candle finishes burning, then the green ranger's powers will be lost.
