The Homecoming Hangover - Recap

The girls are searching for Emily and they can't find her. They decide to split up and Aria is trying to call her. They hear a phone ringing and follow the sound. They find it on the floor of the hallway and decide to look in the chemistry lab. There is quite a mess and there looks like there is blood on the floor of the lab. Toby is now seen driving with a cut on his face and Emily in the back seat. There are cops all over the place and he looks either scared of regretful. Aria tells everyone that Toby and Jenna were romantically involved and that Allison knew about it and that's why he would want her dead. Emily's mother is deflecting an officer that wants to ask her questions. All of the girls are upstairs and Emily seems to have won a car. Hanna stays to talk to Emily and she says they need to talk to her about her karma.

Spencer goes to see Alex and it seems that they are needing to talk. Alex is very busy and Spencer really wants to explain to him what happened. She says that she owes Alex a complete do over. She wants another chance and that's all. He decides that he will give her another chance but only if he gets to plan the whole entire night out. She thinks it sounds kind of dangerous, but she says that he is on despite that. Aria is leaving a message on Ezra's machine and her mom comes in bringing flowers in that came for her. Her mom won't be going to see her brother's game because she doesn't want to interact with her father. The flowers seem to be from a guy named Sean that she kept company with. There is a dog barking at Emily and she is having a weird dream. Or so she thought. Jenna is there and has brought cookies that she and her mother made. She asks her how she is feeling and she wants to know why she is there. She is looking for Toby and thinks that Emily is the only one that would know where he is. Jenna wants the file that they have and she says that she has kept quiet about a lot. The least she can do is get her that file due to that, she thinks.

Hanna shows up and she looks beautiful. She says that they are going to do the pictures over again from last night. She wonders if Shawn is really coming and he says why wouldn't he be. She is looking at the crown as she got homecoming queen. Emily is calling Hanna and freaking out because Jenna showed up. She was thinking about eating the cookies, but is nervous that they are poisoned. She tells her mom that she doesn't have to babysit her but she insists on spending the day with her despite that. They are taking fantastic re-takes for the Homecoming king and queen. He says he's not loving the light and decides to change it. All her boyfriend cares about is the fact that her crown is crooked. Emily's mother asks her if she thinks that she wouldn't have let her go to the homecoming dance if she knew she was going with Toby Cavanaugh. She says that she wouldn't and Emily says that she thought that he was misunderstood. Her mother worries that the neighbors are going to think the worst of her for her decision. She wants her to start being honest with her and herself. The photographer wants to get one of the queen sitting on his lap. Shawn snaps because she left him at the dance when her friend was in the hospital. He doesn't seem to understand.

Aria and her father are talking about the fact that her parents have been together since they were kids, but they have decided to be separated for a while. Hanna wants to burn the file and Aria and Spencer follow her. The phone is ringing and Emily is calling. They need to prove that Toby is the one that did everything. Spencer thinks that they are all in this together and that they are all being stalked by "A" but they are against throwing it out...soon Aria loses her patience and throws the file into the water and demands that they leave right after that. Aria gets a text from Emily saying that whatever she does they shouldn't destroy that file. Emily goes back to school and they can't believe that Jenna was at her house. Spencer gets a text and it is from Alex. Emily sees her "girlfriend" and she just phases her out. Alex blows off the do over date, because he claims he has to work but it is not open on Mondays. Aria goes to see her teacher and it seems that there is a sub due to the fact that he isn't there for whatever reason.

Jenna goes up to Emily to ask about the file. She says she doesn't and no one else does, either. She says that she doesn't need to worry about anything anymore due to the fact that the file is gone now. Jenna hopes that she is not lying to her. Hanna goes to see the photographer because she got a message that he wanted to see her. He wanted to see which one she likes the best. She picks the one that looks the most real. Spencer goes to the club and sees Alex and is shocked that he is actually working. She asks if they are still on for a do over date and she begins to help him out so that he can get it all done. Aria goes to Shawn and tells him that he should never ever send her flowers again considering he should be sending them to Hanna because they have been in love since the 7th grade. Right then her brother gets into a fight and he tells her the screw off when she tries to stop it. The photographer and Hanna seem to be getting...crushy. He seems to really dig her and he tells her that he used to be so afraid of her and her whole posse. He was scared of Alison and her "coven". She called him hermie the hermaphrodite for three years. Hanna tells him that she had more than just one side to her.

Spencer goes looking for something and finds a picture of herself with horns on her head. She is hurt by this and wants to leave. He tries to tell her that her sister looked at him once and thought he was there to park her car. That there are mean people on both levels. Emily goes to talk to Mya and warn her about the picture probably getting around. She also tells her that she wants to make it work. Mya wants to know if she won't flake on her again. She wants to be honest with herself and asking how she is doing so far. Aria's parents are speaking at the school and her father wants to work through it. He wants to focus on the kids and not their relationship. He says that he is not moving out yet because they need them.

Aria decides to go to Ezra's and he doesn't answer the door when she knocks. She gets the key from under his door mat and looks in there. The place is empty and the phone is ringing off the hook. He has an interview with another school so that he can work elsewhere.
