The Jenna Thing - Recap

In the beginning of the show it shows the group of girls having a meal at a fancy restaurant. It is then that they realize Alison knows all kinds of information about them but they have no information about her except for Spencer who knows she dated an older guy that had another girlfriend. As soon as they figure that all out, Jenna shows up and they get a little freaked out and then they leave quietly. They go on their way separately after that.

When Hanna wakes up she is watching television with her mom as she gets ready to go to to school. There is a detective that is there to talk about what they found about Ali. He says she has blunt head trauma and died from being suffocated to death. Aria and her mom are talking about how good Hanna looked. Aria's dad is working late and she isn't happy about it because she wants to tell him everything that she found out from being away for a year.

Emily and her girlfriend are talking about how Ali's family left all of her stuff at the house when they left. Emily's mom shows up and is curious about what is going on. Then she asks Maya to sleep over. Spencer is elsewhere having some field hockey alone time. Aria is at school and runs into the teacher that she made out with and she wants to transfer out of his class. He asks her not to go and says that he can control his feelings.

Emily is in the hallway and she puts on the facade that she gives a crap about her boyfriend and he kisses her. She is especially grossed out. After that, her and the other girls are beckoned to go to the principal's office. That is when Aria gets a text from "Alison" that says "Dead Girls Walking...-A". That is when they are all questioned by the cops and he thinks that they really rehearsed all of the answers that they gave him.

After that, they go to lunch and worry that he may know they were lying about not drinking that night. They talk about Jenna but don't say much really. They wanted to tell the truth about something that happened that night, but didn't so they feel bad about it. While Jenna is at school, she is having a hard time getting around the cafeteria and Aria offers to help her. Jenna wonders what happened with the girls as they used to be fun.

Next scene there are all of the girls trying on clothes. Jenna's brother is spying on them and Ali gets vindictive because of it. She wants to get back at him and decides to throw a stink bomb into the house. Instead of that going well, it causes an explosion and it does not bode well. After they think about that they get a text that says "If only she could see how guilty you look...-A". After that, she goes to her English class and they are talking about the book To Kill a Mockingbird. Despite Aria's request to be transferred, she has been denied.

Next, Hanna is studying with her boyfriend and she is feeling pretty hot. She wants to make out with her boyfriend and see where it could lead, but he doesn't want to because he is waiting to have sex for religious reasons. His father is a preacher and he loves church. After that, the detective comes into the house with dinner.

Elsewhere, Spencer is having dinner out with her father. She talks to him about wanting to take a class where credit doesn't matter and he doesn't see the point in it. After that, her sister and her fiancee comes in to have dinner with them. Spencer orders vodka soda as a joke and then Wren (the fiancee) orders the vodka soda. That is when Spencer smiles and tries to hide it.

Emily is at home with her new girlfriend having a sleep over. Maya is looking around her room at the pictures and she notices that Ali is always in the middle of every picture which means she is always the center of attention. Emily is certain she's known someone like that, too. They ask each other if they have a side on the bed and they both say it is the middle.

At dinner, Spencer is taking random drinks from Wren's drink. They are flirty and strange and somehow get away with it even though they are with the father and the sister. Back to Emily and Maya, Maya is pretending to sleep and Emily is a nervous wreck so she turns around. Maya then spoons with her, taking initiative. That is when Emily gets a text from Ali that says "Did you ge a goodnight kiss? Here's one from me. xo...-"A".

In the morning, Hanna is cooking breakfast her the detective. Emily and Maya are being driven to their respective end locations (School and work) by Emily's boyfriend. She is feeling weird since she's kind of with both of them and when Maya walks out of the vehicle Emily makes out with her boyfriend--overcompensating enough to get all of the dudes at school to tape them with their phones.

Aria is going to the nearby theater with her mother and they run into the teacher. Her mother tells him to sit with them and he does. He sits next to Aria and they do that teasingly long "maybe holding hands" thing.

Emily is speaking with her mother and she thinks that something may be wrong with her. Her mom tells her that nothing is wrong with her not knowing what she is really referring to. Spencer is in her bedroom and Wren is there wanting to give her a rub down. She says no and he says that it is okay to do what she wants. She accepts and then they start making out. Her sister walks by her room and catches them. She wakes up and feels bad. She looks out of her window and Wren is walking out of their loft with a box.

Hanna was just shopping at the mall and leaves with a lot of bags. The detective is there and he says that he really doesn't care about whether they were drinking or not. What he is most concerned about is that they may know who killed Ali. It is now raining and Aria is walking home in it. The teacher drives by and picks her up and they have a pretty intense make out session.

There is a bit of a flash back where Ali has given all of them friendship bracelets. Then the flashback ends. Aria ends up at home and her dad talks to her about how she's been acting "strange" and she needs to stop before her mother figures out that he cheated on her with a student. He is having an affair with a co-worker and he says they aren't having sex but see one another often. She asks him if he is in love with her and he rambles a bit. After that, her mom comes in with take out and Aria goes to get changed into something comfortable. She then gets a text that says "When students kiss teachers, someone gets HURT. That's a promise I'll keep...-A".

While Spencer is jogging she sees that Jenna is at the park on a bench sending texts (she's still blind, just using equipment). Interesting.
