Touched by an 'A'-ngel - Recap

The episode begins with Aria telling Emily about kissing Jason. She tells Aria about what she and Spencer found in his shed. Spencer sits down and gets filled-in. There is a college fair that day and Spencer says she's skipping it to help Melissa pack. Inside Emil's cereal box she finds a note from A "The weak link is the easiest break! Snapping yet?" Meanwhile, Hanna tells her mother than Emily has been grinding her teeth in her sleep. Ashley gives her a massage coupon to give Emily. She reads a note for Hanna from Tom. She wants to make sure Hanna has a good attitude at the wedding. Meanwhile, Aria asks Jason about the pictures.

He says the pictures were taken by Alison. He found an old role of film in the house and developed the pictures. Later, Ella asks Dr. Sullivan, the girls' therapist, about working with Mike. She doesn't think a sibling seeing the same person is a good idea and promises to recommend a few names. Meanwhile, Aria watches Ezra and ex-fiancé Jackie, interact near their college fair booth. They seem pretty friendly. Meanwhile, Hanna gives Emily the coupon. Emily doesn't seem sure she needs help relaxing. The rest of the swim team walks by and Emily immediately has trouble with her locker. Dr. Sullivan walks by and Emily tells her there are things she needs to get off her chest. They agree to meet after school.

Meanwhile, Spencer and Toby find Ian's old yearbook, while packing up his stuff. He was part of the N.A.T. Club, an organization neither has heard off. The club isn't listed in the school's official club roster, but Jason has signed Ian's book with "N.A.T. Forever." Both Jason and Garrett were members of this mysterious N.A.T. Club. Meanwhile, Aria gives Ezra the cold shoulder at the college fair. She says she feels like "outside forces" are taking over. He's says Jackie isn't a threat, but Aria responds that it's clear she still likes him. She says the problem is that nobody knows they are in a relationship, and then admits she and Jason kissed. Jackie walks by and makes a comment about Aria needing college to grow up and "realize how naive" she was. Meanwhile, Mona helps Hanna try on her bridesmaid dress.

They run into Kate, Hanna's soon-to-be stepsister. Kate asks them both to join her for lunch. Mona agrees on behalf of the two of them before Hanna can say no. Emily meanwhile, arrives for her massage. Meanwhile, Spencer and Toby can't find N.A.T. in any other yearbooks. She's convinced it must mean something. She then finds a t-shirt of Ian with "Nos Animadverto Totus". The translation is "We See All" and Spencer wonders if it is related to the videotaping and possible Jason killed Alison to get back the tapes. Meanwhile, Aria is texting Ezra, trying to get him to call her. Jason meanwhile, stops by and sits down. Meanwhile, Mona's small talk leads to her and Hanna going horseback riding with Kate. Hanna is having trouble fitting it in with Kate and her snooty friends, while Mona seems right at home.

Despite not being familiar with riding, Hanna gives it a shot. Meanwhile, with her face in the table, Emily's massage begins. The masseuse doesn't say anything as they get to work on Emily's back. Meanwhile, Aria tells Jason her friends broke into his place because "they've been through a lot". He says he found the film because he was looking for answers. He found the film in a box of Alison's stuff and offers to let Aria to take a look at the box. Spencer and Toby meanwhile, see Aria and Jason sitting together. Spencer has an idea for who Aria will listen to regarding Jason. Meanwhile, Alison and Mona lose Kate's horses and have to walk back to the stable through the woods. They start bickering and Hanna implies that Mona is only hanging around for herself. Mona thinks Hanna has been a "total crank" since Caleb left.

Emily's masseuse walks into the room and apologizes for the delay. It wasn't her that was massaging Emily a few minutes earlier. Emily then looks down and sees 'A' written in the condensation on her water glass. Meanwhile, Spencer jumps into Ezra's car. She says she knows about him and Aria and says she's in danger. Ella sees Spencer sitting in the car with Ezra. Emily meanwhile, goes through her phone and is about to call Dr. Sullivan when a text from A pops up "See how easy it is for me to get my hands around your neck?" Jason meanwhile, brings Aria to his house and says the box in the shed. She says she'll wait out front for him to bring it out. Hanna meanwhile, apologizes to Mona, saying she is getting a bad vibe from Kate and her friends. Hanna starts railing against her father's fiancé, calling her "Izahell the skank".

Mona notices that the loudspeaker was turned on. Kate and her friends heard everything Hanna said. Jenna meanwhile, shows up at Spencer's place, wondering why she continues to dig despite Ian's death. She said what Spencer is doing is "dangerous for you and Toby". She starts to leave and Spencer says "Tell Garrett I said hi". Ezra meanwhile, arrives to pick-up Aria at Jason's. He agrees that Jason is dangerous. Aria says Jason isn't a threat but Ezra says "he is to me". Ezra thinks it's time to tell people about their relationship, starting with her parents. They embrace, just as Jason walks outside with the box. Jason gives her the box and mentions realizing that she's unavailable. Meanwhile, Jenna tells Garrett that the girls know about them and are looking through yearbooks.

She thinks it's only a matter of time before "they figure it out, if they haven't already". She says it's time for them to talk to Jason. Meanwhile, Hanna is sitting with her mother, just then the phone rings. It's Tom, who tells Ashley that things went well that day with the kids. Ashley tells Hanna that Kate wants to talk and gives her the phone. Hanna thanks Kate for not saying anything and apologizes. Kate's voice turns cold and she says Hanna is going to feel like an animal after she breaks her will. Meanwhile, Ella stops by Aria's room and finds her looking through Alison's things. Dr. Sullivan called and set up an appointment for Mike. She wants Aria to talk to Mike about the benefits of seeing a therapist. Ella also mentions hearing rumors about Ezra seeing a student earlier in the ear. She says she shouldn't have assumed it wasn't true and asks Aria "Is there something you want to tell me about Mr. Fitz and Spencer?"

Aria says he and Spencer aren't intimate and wonders if there would be a problem with that. Ella says she'd feel betrayed if she learned Ezra dated a student. Later, Spencer and Hanna try to help Emily deal with her massage scare. They talk about the danger of Garrett being a cop. Spencer considers whether A is a group of people. The doorbell rings and Spencer leaves the bedroom to answer it, assuming it will be Aria. Emily's phone rings with a call from Dr. Sullivan, but she doesn't pick up. Meanwhile, Aria walks in and tells Spencer she isn't mad at her. Spencer says she was just scared for her and they head upstairs.

She tells Spencer Ella thinks she's the one hooking up with Ezra. Garrett meanwhile, drops by Jason's place. He says he wants to make sure "we're still cool". Jason asks whether it even matters. Garrett responds that since he's a cop "it matters more than ever". Meanwhile, it is shown that Dr. Sullivan appears to be counseling A. The episode ends at this point.
