Just before the Officer walks past Lincoln's cell for count Lincoln is seen sitting on his bed reading L.J's note. When the Officer walks past Lincoln's cell Lincoln pushes out the note for his last meal but when the scene cuts back to Lincoln he is still sitting in the same position as before. There could not have been enough time elapsed for him to return to the same position.
