• Project Runway wins Peabody Award |
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Reality show "Project Runway" won one of 35 Peabody Awards on Wednesday, becoming the first program of that genre to take one of the annual prizes that recognize achievement in electronic media.
The political news satire "The Colbert Report," the period piece "Mad Men" about the advertising world of the early 1960s, and "30 Rock," Tina Fey's send-up of TV sketch comedy shows, were also honored in the 67th annual Peabody Awards.
The winners were chosen by the Peabody board and announced by the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. They will be feted in a ceremony in New York on June 16.
