Lifetime says it's acquired Bravo series; NBCU is suing

Lifetime says it's landed one of cable's biggest hits, "Project Runway." Bravo and NBC Universal, however, aren't ready to accept that they're "out" of the show.

Lifetime and The Weinstein Co., which produces "Project Runway," shook up the TV landscape Monday (April 7) with the announcement that the fashion-design competition will have a new home for its sixth season. In a press release, the cable network says it's signed a five-year deal to air the series; host/executive producer Heidi Klum and mentor Tim Gunn will also make the move.
