Oscar Vibenius, played by [unknown person]
Oscar Vibenius is the former partner and friend of Napoleon LeNez. The two men were olfactory experts, capable of identifying practically any smell through hard work and training. However, the two men separated when they disagreed on the basic theories of odor: Oscar insisted that natural odors were the best, while LeNez insisted that Man should smell only the most purified of scents.
Oscar withdrew and went into the sewers, working for the Department of Water and Power. He prowls the dark tunnels, wearing goggles and a protective suit, looking for interesting odors. When a murderer targeted his old friend LeNez, Oscar investigated and determined that in fact LeNez was faking the murder attempts to gain publicity for his own book. LeNez framed Oscar for the murders but with the help of Emerson Cod & Associates, Oscar cleared his name. However, he caught a whiff of Chuck and determined that there was something odd and death-like about her scent. Oscar has found a new obsession: to identify Chuck’s scent, no matter where the trail may lead.
