Death Stalks ABC's 'Pushing Daisies'
The show just finished filming its thirteenth and final episode for season two, and all we can do now is wait and see what ABC decides to do with it. I read in another article a couple weeks ago that producers were told to treat the thirteenth episode as the series finale. It's been obvious for a while that Pushing Daisies was doomed, but it doesn't make it any sadder to think of the show ending prematurely. |

I've had a bad feeling it would get axed, especially after ABC decided to air Pushing Daisies instead of the Obama infomercial. Pushing Daisies vs. Obama? Stupid idea. Of course it's not going to do good ratings-wise.
But a possible cancellation sucks big time. Pushing Daisies is one of the best shows I've ever seen. |

Even worse, the thirteenth episode supposedly ends with a "huge cliffhanger." They didn't have enough money to shoot an alternate ending just in case. Why don't you just stab me in the heart, ABC? |

I"m sure the writers/producers made the cliff hanger ending on purpose so that fans would be outraged, which will spur them to write a vicious letter campaign to save the show... maybe sending in jars of live bees until ABC agrees to continue it. |

Kristen says it's dead.
| Quote: | ABC has canceled Pushing Daisies, executive producer Bryan Fuller confirms to me exclusively.
According to our inside sources, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money have also been canceled. Reps for both shows have declined to comment. |
Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money? Thanks, ABC. If not for Ugly Betty and Life on Mars, I could stop watching your stupid network altogether. |

Thanks for the downer Kelly. If Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives ever get canceled, I'll give up on ABC. |

A little bit of good news in regards to this:
"According to Michael Ausiello, Fuller and his team have rethought their ending plans. They're using post-production to create a completely new opening and ending for the last episode. As a result, it'll no longer a cliffhanger. As Fuller says, 'We’re doing a lot of work in post to shape it so that it is satisfying for the audience.'" |

That's good. I'd be pissed if it ended with a huge cliffhanger. It deserves good closure. |
