September 4, 1954: Sam leaps into an aging pool player and with the help of Al, Gooshie and Ziggy he manages to win. The man Sam leaps into is an old friend of Al's whom taught Al to play pool after he ran away from the orphanage, but Al was sent back after his pool playing friend played pool in an all "whites" place.
