| When Sam (Scott Bakula) briefly changes history, numerous changes result: Al (Dean Stockwell) is replaced as his observor by Edward St. John V (Roddy McDowall) who calls him "Samuel"; Ziggy is now Alpha; Gooshie and Tina are married. | Roddy McDowall (Edward St. John V) was a close friend of Dean Stockwell (Al) for many years. | Charles Rocket (Commander Dirk Riker) previously played Michael Blake in "A Little Miracle - December 24, 1962". | Roddy McDowall (Edward St. John V) receives the "and" credit. | Jamie Walters's voice is dubbed over by Dean Stockwell. | Al (Dean Stockwell) did not start smoking cigars until he began serving in Vietnam. | Sam (Scott Bakula) had a great-aunt named Tilly. She was the last person before Edward St. John V (Roddy McDowall) to refer to him as "Samuel." |

| (Al is attempting to explain the concept of leaping to his younger self)
Bingo: So I’m him (Sam) and he’s me?
Al: Right!
Bingo: Then who are you? | Sam: But you’re married!
Lisa: Yes and so is my husband but it hasn’t stopped him from landing in every blonde from here to Norway! | Sam: He’s gone!
Al: Who’s gone?
Sam: My shadow, he’s gone!
Al: Maybe he went to the head.
Sam: He would sooner wet his pants than leave his post. | Sam: (immediately after leaping in) This guy’s got more women than you do.
Al: That’s funny. That is funny. That’s hysterical. Have you looked in the mirror…you haven’t looked in the mirror yet have you?! | Sam: Commander, if I could have a few minutes to myself before we reconvene?
Commander Riker: You won’t be alone.
Sam: Yeah, well, I’ve come to think of him as my shadow.
"Shadow": Sir, Sir.
Sam: Hmm, come on, Shadow. |
