| When Sam (Scott Bakula) briefly changes history, numerous changes result: Al (Dean Stockwell) is replaced as his observor by Edward St. John V (Roddy McDowall) who calls him "Samuel"; Ziggy is now Alpha; Gooshie and Tina are married.

| Sam: (immediately after leaping in) This guy’s got more women than you do.
Al: That’s funny. That is funny. That’s hysterical. Have you looked in the mirror…you haven’t looked in the mirror yet have you?!

Commander Riker: You won’t be alone.
Sam: Yeah, well, I’ve come to think of him as my shadow.
