3x22: Mother's Day recap: The episode begins with Burt and Virginia trying to jog Maw Maw’s memory. It is mother’s day and they think that it will be the best mother’s day gift for Maw Maw if they tried to help her remember that she really had a mother. Maw Maw tells them that she did not have a mother. Virginia tells them that Maw Maw’s mother’s name was Norma June. They find an old record and play it. Maw Maw dances to the song and tells them that this reminds her of her father. She says that her father used to play this song all the time and they used to dance... read more.

3x21: Burt-Mitzvah: The Musical recap: The episode begins with Burt and Virginia walking in with Hope’s car seat. Sabrina wonders why they have put, ham in the car seat. Virginia says that she wanted to make sure that the ham reached home safe. She wants the holiday dinner to be perfect because Burt’s parents are going to be joining them for dinner. The doorbell rings and Burt welcomes his parents, Ralph and Christine. They tell them that they have something very important to discuss. Christine tells Burt that two weeks ago, she went to a bar mitzvah and met her cousin. They then paid a genealogist and found out that Christine is Jewish, and as tradition goes, Burt too is a Jew. 3x20: The Old Girl recap: The episode begins and Jimmy is tending to an injury on Hope’s hand. Turns out, “Hope got bit by a cow in the Natesville petting zoo”. The zoo is run by a butcher shop and to avoid a messy lawsuit the butcher gave the Chance family 500 pounds of beef. Hence lately, the family has been eating nothing but meat. Sabrina comes home from the gym and tells everyone that she has made a new friend at the gym named Rachel. She shows Jimmy, Rachel’s photo on her cell phone. 3x19: Making The Band recap: The episode begins at a park where all the parents are discussing how smart their kids are. Jimmy and Sabrina are also there but they aren’t saying much. Jimmy mentions that Sabrina and he don’t socialize with other parents in the park mostly because they find them annoying. But “today” they were on a mission. He says it all started a few weeks ago when they were planning Hope’s birthday party. The scene flashes back to a few weeks ago. Burt tells Jimmy that if he wants to plan an affordable party he has to look locally instead of calling up “those fancy places that can afford a website”. 3x18: Arbor Daze recap: The episode begins and Virginia and Maw Maw are busy sifting through a box of stuff. Burt is dressed in a costume made of leaves. Jimmy arrives with Hope and Sabrina and Burt hides behind the couch. They remind Jimmy that it’s 3 days before Arbor Day. “Oh my god, are we doing it?” Jimmy asks. Sabrina is baffled as to what everyone is talking about. Jimmy asks Maw Maw to take Hope to her room. Maw Maw does as is told and Burt comes out from behind the couch.
