All Mine - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Sam gets up in the morning and prepares for work. However, when he brushes his teeth a bug appears on the brush. Each time he tries, another bug appears. Sam ends up at work where he has to have sock feed him an apple: anything he puts in his mouth, a bug appears on it. Andi comes over and asks him to a lecture, but he makes up some excuse and Sock (badly) backs him up. Sam doesn’t want to look like an idiot in front of her smarter friends or ruin their relationship.

Later in the Work Bench, Ted is telling Sam that he needs to find some direction and offers him the position of Assistant Manager in Plumbing. Sam isn’t happy and gets even more depressed when the Devil show sup and offers him pictures of dead women, all killed by bee stings. and insect-carried diseases. The Devil tells him to “follow the bugs” and leaves him a vessel.

Sam is grabbing some drive thru with Ben and Sock when they spot a passing exterminator’s van. They follow it to a complex where they watch as a swarm of bees enter the exterminator truck and kill the man. Heading back to the Work Bench, Sock steals the apartment owners’ mail and they go through it, and find one guy, Harold Bunsen, who moved in just as the killing started. They also spot Andi meeting with a college guy, Greg, who is encouraging her to go back to college. Sam isn’t thrilled but can’t bring himself to say he wants Andi to stay. The guys then sneak into Josie’s office to check Bunsen’s records, and Sock has to run interference when his ex-girlfriend shows up early.

Sam goes over the records and finds out that Bunsen was suspect of killing his wife but never charged due to lack of evidence. His wife’s body was left in a compost heap, eaten by insects, and they figure he’s the escaped soul. They also open the vessel box and find… a toaster. Grabbing a bunch of electrical cords, they go to Bunsen’s apartment and plug in the toaster. It starts sparking wildly and Sock attacks it. Sam spots Bunsen feeding the insects and they’re forced to run off with the broken toaster-vessel. They’re unaware that they’ve broken off part of their license plate holder, with “Work Bench” on it.

Ben has figured out the toaster was broke even before they turned it on. Ted calls Andi and Sam into his office and when Sam refuses the promotion, he offers it to Andi. She refuses and blurts out that she’s going back to college. Sam isn’t too happy about that news. They go out to celebrate with Josie at The Booze, but Sam spots the Devil and follows him into the restroom. The Devil is exasperated with his lack of progress with either the escaped soul or Andi, and tells Sam to get a move on. When Sam grumbles at how bad the Devil is treating him, the Prince of Darkness warns it can get a lot worse.

The next day in the parking lot, Bunsen confronts Sam directly and says that he isn’t responsible for the murders. The killer is Gloria, who killed any woman he talked to and finished off the exterminator because he was going to kill her insects. They’re unaware that a bee is spying on them, and that it’s part of a swarm… a swarm which is actually Gloria.

Sam picks out anti-bug equipment and Sam reluctantly helps him, admitting that he’s scared of bugs. They start to head out but Sam spots Andi studying her books and goes over. She’s depressed that she can’t even understand the course descriptions but Sam tells her to go for it despite his own doubts.

Sam, Sock, and Ben get to the apartment complex and Sock meets Gloria. Unaware of who she is, he starts hitting on her until he notices her absorb a bee back into his body. Gloria takes Sock hostage to force the others to surrender. Bunsen shows up and distracts her, saying he never loved her and it was just about the sex. They plug in the toaster but it just heats up and sparks, and Ben figures out it was never supposed to work. Sam spots the lights overhead and realizes the toaster is a bug zapper. He throws it into the swarm just as Gloria goes berserk and it sucks up all the bees.

As the guys leave, they consider how much damage Bunsen did just by lying. Sam decides to tell Andi the truth and goes to the campus to find her. However, she notes that the building she was taking her classes in has been closed due to a confirmed anonymous report of asbestos usage. Sam notices the Devil over on a nearby bench, giving him a thumb up on what he arranged. Andi admits she’s relieved and isn’t ready to start doing anything different since the death of her dad. And they just settle back, share a cookie, and wish the Work Bench could be closed due to asbestos.
