14 :02x01 - Voicemail (Jun/21/2005)
Tommy Gavin is on the verge of destruction. He has spent the last few months looking for his wife who has kidnapped his three kids, dealing with being in a new, uneventful firehouse after a volatile split with his old crew, coming to terms with the fact that his dead cousin's wife, Sheila, is now pregnant with his baby. Tommy is also engaged in a furious battle with his alcohol addiction. At this point, Tommy's only wish is to have his old life back.

At the firehouse, a new firefighter, Sully, has replaced Tommy and is winning over everyone in the house except for Jerry and Lou who remain hopeful that they can get Tommy back on the crew.

When Tommy discovers where Janet has taken the kids, the only way he can get time off to find them is by joining his new firehouse's competitive Barbershop Quartet.

Lou and Chief Reilly conspire to get Tommy back into the old firehouse, but the rest of the crew is getting attached to Tommy's replacement, Sully, who's a gourmet cook with great people skills.

Mike has trouble controlling his emotions when his girlfriend Teresa breaks up with him.

Franco and Laura take their friendship to a new level while Mike finds himself stalking his ex-girlfriend.

Sheila can't bring herself to be honest with Tommy about the baby.

When Lou allows a disagreement with Laura to escalate, the crew tries to help Laura understand the essence of male camaraderie.

Tommy is put in danger during a fire when a miscommunication happens between Chief Reilly and Mike "the Probie".

Tommy's dad is shocked when Teddy turns up in the last place he would ever expect.

Tommy wonders if his father has been living a double life after a priest delivers some startling news.

When Jerry discovers just how far his wife's mind has slipped, he is forced to ask for help from his estranged and gay son.

When Laura files a complaint against Lou, the whole crew is ordered to undergo sensitivity training, which doesn't go exactly as planned.

Now that Colleen is home, Tommy comes up with a plan to get the rest of his kids back from Janet.

Meanwhile, Tommy starts to suspect that Sheila is hiding something from him.
