I never really got into the show, but the preveiws look too good this week. And you know how FX pushes their shows to death. I must have seen the Nip/Tuck promo like 8 Xs in one hour. lol |

your really missing out. it has gotten better and better. this weeks episode is going to be the defining moment of the season.
it's only 13 episodes a season and you got time to catch up as the next season starts 9 months from now. |

you pretty much got it nailed down. it was an amazing episode. the musical montage at the beginning was so powerful. what a smart way to do all of that, and there was a lot in there.
the phone messages left by tommy and johnny were so... moving. it's sad that the show loses such a great actor like Dean Winters. he was great in this as nice counter to tommy.
the funeral/wedding was... something else. i loved how the priest haggled over the price and then made them pay an extra hundred if it was by check. was rosemary ever mentioned before. i don't remember. i guess i'll have to go back in the other seasons and see. i don't really remember, but this show has such a long lay-over between seasons that i often forget things.
i gotta watch this again 'cause i know i'm forgetting something i wanted to mention.

I TIVO'd it and I promise to watch it when I get the chance. What season are they on now? If I like it I just may go rent the 1st season like I did with LOST. |

the tuesday of next week will be the season 3 finale. season's 1 and 2 are already on dvd. |

i can't remember either.
i just rewatched this yesterday and there are two very small things that i saw that made me laugh hesterically, rewind and watch over again. first when tommy gets his hand caught in the casket, lou is in the back ground and he takes off to find the funeral director and he runs out he back of the room and turns left. a second or so later he's running past the doorway running right. it's so slapstick that i busted out laughing when i saw it. you wouldn't even notice it if you weren't looking for it. it's what i love about this show - the attention to detail.
second is when lou and tommy try to start a clap near the end of sean and maggie's wedding and nobody goes along. been there, done that. i laughed so hard. |
