Revolution (2012)

Revolution (2012)

What would you do without it all? In this epic adventure from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions and "Supernatural's" Eric Kripke, a family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology - computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights - has mysteriously blacked out forever. A drama with sweeping scope and intimate focus, "Revolution" is also about family - both the family you're born into and the family you choose. This is a swashbuckling journey of hope and rebirth seen through the eyes of one strong-willed young woman, Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos, "Being Human"), and her brother Danny (Graham Rogers, "Memphis Beat"). When Danny is kidnapped by militia leaders for a darker purpose, Charlie must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles (Billy Burke, "The Twilight Saga"), a former U.S. Marine living a reclusive life. Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed, and if - or how - it will ever return. (Source: NBC)

Ironically not a Revolution in television producti...Rating: 6 likes, 2 dislikes

Well, with the library of good shows to their names, Kripke and Abrams should have been able to pull out a stunner together. Alas, not so! The idea is a potential gold mine, despite being yet another armageddon based series, if only the actual product wasn't such a cataclysm. Read more

Although having an interesting premise this is a real pain to watch. The writing is as predictable as a calendar, the only likeable character is one of the "bad guys" (the captain). Read more

O-M-G ; where to begin, really as the previous responses state that the story line/plots/was capable of some stunning Archs the Acting and dialogue are just Horrid ! First off this main Character the Eldest Sister the beauty that she is is such a Dumb is dumber character. From the very get-go in the Pilot she along with her even more stupid brother Inject the story line with the such idiotic acts that surely the Militia would react and take their Dad out for their prideful reactions. The Militia comes to town to question their Dad and these siblings go and get him killed on their own, then to make matters worse the sister gets her brother taken into custody. Then the story develops into the sister having to track and bring her brother back into the fold, and what fold is that ? As her Mom is no-where to be found yet lurking in the story-line several episodes into the future, even more stupid scripting from the writers/developers. But back to the heroine/sister as she makes idiotic move after move, I mean how stupid can a pretty girl be in a doomsday scenario. leaves most sane thinking adults to wonder how she made it as long as she had or in fact her whole family too. Then comes the Dead killed by Militia Scientist Father's close but evil Brother to help track down his Nephew; let the sword fighting commence. How horrible the fight scenes another O-M-G moment or should I say moments. If it were not for the Horrendous scripting/story-line the acting would be even worse. At least one can conclude that an actor can only do so much with a ridiculous script and surely these home-spun unknown actors are not allowed free range improv. And if this was not bad enough we have to bear thru the scenes and filming locations with the cut grass scenes at the farm where miraculously Electrical Power works. And even after 4 years the characters hold on dearly to their I-Phones surely if you have lived thru many-many years of No Electricity you would keep your I-Phone in your vest pocket ! I wonder why such a Horrid start to an Interesting Plot, and know full-well that this show will not last even the first season. A shame as the story line holds credence and it would be interesting to say the least to watch how a scenario like this could actually develop. The Creators leaned way too heavily on this one family dynamic and they got it 100% wrong. Read more

1x18: Clue recap: The episode begins with Nora, Monroe’s captive. A guard tosses a package her way. Inside, is a white dress that she is instructed to put on. She is going to dinner with Monroe. He pours her a drink and tries to be friendly. She is cold. Monroe cracks a joke about always being jealous of the things Miles had, implying that Nora now belongs to Miles. He asks her where Miles is and she tries to hit him with a liquor bottle, but misses. He then reminds her that he tried to be nice. Elsewhere, Nora is being tortured. In Ashland, Kentucky, the Rebel-Georgian Coalition camp, Nora and Miles are in bed together. Nora starts to get dressed and Miles wakes up to catch her about to leave. Nora says them sleeping together was a mistake. She thinks that the odds are that one of them will die in battle against the Monroe Militia. Tom Neville confronts his son Jason. 1x14: The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia recap: The episode begins with Monroe being told by the captain of his militia that Tom and his wife have fled the city. He is also informed that Tom’s son is alive and has joined the rebels. After hearing all of this, Monroe is clearly mad and comments, how the captain and Tom were really close. He also assumes the captain had inkling about, what Tom was up to. The captain says he didn’t, assuring Monroe he is loyal to him, but Monroe doesn’t buy it and shoots him in the head. At the rebel camp, Miles receives intel from one of his spies that Monroe has sent the nuke with a two man strike team to Atlanta... read more.
