Episode Quotes

Sheriff: (to Sir Guy) How is it possible that a woman can hit the particular pitch that makes you want to pierce your eardrums with a stick?

(Djaq is hiding behind a rock a little way from Much, who is sitting in front of an unlighted fire. She lights the fire using her glass.)
Much: (gasps) A sign! Which means I have to fast...
(Djaq throws a dead rabbit on the ground next to Much)
Much: Except God wants me to eat!
(Djaq throws another dead rabbit)
Much: Quite a lot!
Robin: (Laughing) Djaq. Come and join us.
Djaq: For good?
Robin: Well, I was thinking just for dinner but…
Djaq: I was thinking for good. Perhaps I should have let your big friend here die, huh? Then there would have been a vacancy.

Sheriff of Nottingham: (To the crowd) Thanks to the rogue element amongst you, I have been forced to introduce new security measures. The guilty object to security because the guilty have something to hide. So, I expect your full co-operation. No man shall wear a sleeve on his left arm. (pauses) Oh, and do have a lovely fair. Thank you.

During the scene when the slave trader runs up to the Sheriff to warn him of Robin's plans to set the mine on fire - the Sheriff and the man go through a similar dialogue made famous on the classic American series: Lassie. Where Lassie would try alert someone of impending danger and get them to follow him.
