Robin uncovers mysteries co-existing with mysteries when he is framed for a series of murders, turning many against him. To prove his innocence, Robin suggests a surprising alliance to draw out the murderer.
While on the run from Sir Guy and his men, Robin finds an abandoned child in the woods. During the row, Roy is captured.
Tragedy strikes when the Merry Men storm Nottingham.
The Sheriff elects to replace his irate, rebellious miners with Saracen slaves, leading Robin and the team into a battle to free them at the potential cost of Robin's hopes of secretly entering the Silver Arrow Archery competition. Meanwhile, Marian's status as a "friend" to Guy makes her a target to an embittered orphaned boy seeking retribution.
While on their way to Nottingham, Robin and his crew come across another pair of travelers - Flaxton, a farmer, and his son. Over the course of their journey though, they soon discover that all is not as it seems when it comes to their new acquaintance - he is in fact a tax inspector making his way to Nottingham Castle to make record of the mounds of tax silver stored there.
Robin hatches a plot to possibly find access to the vaults.

Robin and his men capture a warrior from the Crusades driven mad by Saracen torture. A powerful Saracen prince arrives hoping to negotiate peace, but the Sheriff has other plans.
John is put in the position of having to deal with his past after his young son is kidnapped and he himself is also captured.
Robin and company prepare a stealthy rescue.
News of King Richard's return sparks jubilation for the outlaws, but for Robin, this only means that the inevitable wedding of Marian to the Guy of Gisborne will finally come to pass. Marian herself prepares for her final mission as the Nightwatchman, but in a battle with Gisborne, she is injured, forcing Robin to seek out medical aid, but will he bring doom upon his men in the process in order to save Marian's life?
A heartbroken Robin isolates himself from his men as they collaborate with a secret resistance determined to oust the Sheriff as the day of the King's return finally arrives, but the Sheriff has one final trump card to play which could condemn all those against him to a final death.

When a group of boys accidentally stumbles on Gisborne's weapons-testing site, all but one is taken prisoner. The resourceful escapee, Daniel, is able to elude Gisborne's men and runs to Robin to raise the alarm. Robin is horrified to discover that Gisborne has developed an indestructible new suit of armour, made of special Damascus steel – an army wearing this armour would easily defeat King Richard and must be stopped!
The Sheriff and his sinister scientist, Joseph, are testing a chemical weapon on a street in Nottingham Town and blaming the ill effects on the Pestilence; but Dan Scarlett, who's in town to visit his son, Will, knows it's not the pestilence at all.
A horrified Robin realises that his plan to capture the Sheriff's spy, Henry of Lewes, has failed because he has a traitor in his gang. Fearing for Marian's safety in the castle, Robin sets about rooting out the turncoat. His only clue is supplied by Marian: the spy's meeting place is located at the Trip To Jerusalem Inn, where the traitor outlaw sells his secrets to Gisborne.
The Sheriff's Black Knights gather at the castle to attend a feast and declare their allegiance to Prince John by signing the Great Pact of Nottingham. With the outlaws disguised as entertainers, Robin infiltrates the castle to join forces with the only man who can stop them: former Sheriff Edward's old ally and Black Knight, the Sheriff of Winchester.

Robin gives away all his money to a man paying off a debt to win his 'fair lady', he marries the couple at the end and their life of marriage starts in a trap.
Marian wakes up in Sherwood Forest: the first day of the rest of her life as an outlaw with Robin and his gang. Surprising everyone with a new energy and recklessness, she jeopardises the gang's mission to bring aid to Clun Village after it's ransacked by the Sheriff's men.
A mortally wounded messenger from King Richard flees Locksley Manor, pursued by Gisborne's men and runs straight into the arms of Robin.
In his dying breaths the messenger utters the word "Lardner" but Robin doesn't know what that means - worse still Gisborne and the Sheriff are hunting the very same Lardner!
The sheriff roams the forest sleepwalking after being tormented by Robin, unaware that Prince John has plans to send his army to torch the forest. Jasper, Gisborne and Marion work as one to trick Robin into helping save the sheriff from danger.
Robin comes across a group of beggars, realizing he can get his hands on the Pact. But Little John is fooled when he brings the sheriff into the heart of the camp, disguised as a blind, poor man. Only Robin can save everyone as the battle begins.

Robin and his men travel to The Holy Land to prevent King Richard's assassination, but Richard is warned by an deceptive Saracen that they have come to slay him themselves. Meanwhile, Marion begs Gisbourne to kill The Sheriff, promising to marry him if he does.

Rufus arrives in town and he is out for revenge. Robin snatches his son after Rufus hold Kate and Allan captive. Robin and his gang try and find Allan and Kate before it is too late.
Gisborne returns with Prince John's Elite Guards and a secret new weapon. Little John finds himself separated from the others and ends up in a Gladiator circus. Robin finds himself helping a mysterious woman.
Prince John causes mischief when he shows up in Nottingham. Gisborne and the Sheriff are assigned on a royal mission.
Prince John has all the local wells blocked when a heat wave hits the area leaving the outlaws forced to take desperate measures to save those at risk. Robin and Isabella's secret relationship is discovered by Prince John and he orders Gisborne to get rid of them. Robin finds himself having to make a difficult decision.
Isabella is determined to prove herself as loyal to Prince John and be named as the next Sheriff. After news arrives that King Richard is dead, Robin finds himself battling against a former enemy as he attempts to stop Prince John's early coronation.
Gisborne talks to another prisoner who has a profound effect upon him as he awaits to be killed. Robin attempts to make a deal with Sheriff Isabella. When somebody from his past shows up wanting revenge Robin finds his plans in danger.

When Robin tells the rest of the gang that Gisbourne is joining their fight against Isabella they are surprised. Robin and Gisbourne attempt to save their half-brother Archer from execution in York.
Robin and his men battle against Isabella as she rounds up men to send to Prince John. Archer works with his sister and attempts to catch Robin and Gisborne.
Robin and his men are forced to retreat after trying to defend the castle. A final battle sees everyone fighting for their lives.
