Pilot - Recap

After Rodney quits his job, Trina isn’t happy with the situation. Once again, he’s trying to pursue a career in comedy. Things get even worse when he lets it spill that he was to be promoted to foreman. Carl offers Rodney a job as a used car salesman, but Rodney doesn’t want to be stuck in a job that he hates.

Meanwhile, Trina’s birthday is on Saturday and she’s decided to send herself flowers. On the card it’s signed “from me” which leads Rodney to believe that he must have sent them. Since he can’t take her to Hawaii for her birthday, he throws a backyard luau instead.

As Rodney decides to take the job with Carl, Trina tells him to go and chase his comedy. This time, though, he has to treat it like the job that it is; no messing around and no partying.
