1 :01x01 - Pilot

Rodney quits his job at the fiberglass plant to pursue his old comedy routine and receives less than positive support from Trina. With a job offer from Trina’s dad on the table, Rodney has to decide if he’ll swallow his pride or follow his dreams.

2 :01x02 - Superhero

Rodney’s standup career is finally taking off, or so he thinks. When the gigs don't pay as well as he thought they would, Trina begins to doubt if things will work out.

Meanwhile, Rodney and Trina try to convince the boys that he's a superhero at night.

3 :01x03 - Teacher

Jack starts playing practical jokes at school and ends up in detention. Once Rodney and Trina meet his young, attractive teacher, things start to make a bit more sense.

Barry is scheduled to receive an award for rebuilding the library for free after it was struck by a tornado. He's asked to give a speech, but it turns out he's terrified of public speaking.

4 :01x04 - Reacquisition Engineer

The plumbing goes out at the Hamilton house forcing them to come up with $1000 in two weeks. Carl offers to loan them the money and Rodney declines. When the price changes to $1400 up front, Trina takes the money from Carl forcing Rodney to find more work.

5 :01x05 - Halloween

Rodney's loves to play practical jokes on his favorite holiday, Halloween. When Rodney and Barry play a practical joke on Gerald Bob, things don't go so well, and Rodney ends up at the police station.

6 :01x06 - Rodney's Mom

To celebrate Halloween, Rodney's favorite holiday, he and Barry decide to play a practical joke on police officer Gerald Bob, but their antics go awry and Rodney ends up at the police station.

7 :01x07 - Keep on Truckin'

Upset that Charlie almost destroyed his truck, Rodney explains to Bo and Jack why the old truck has such sentimental value to him. Through flashbacks, he reminisces how he bought the truck with his last money from Carl, and how it ultimately played a key role when he and Trina fell in love.

8 :01x08 - Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, Rodney and Trina try to avoid having the big holiday dinner that every year turns into a disaster because of the crazy antics of their families. When the dinner turns into a big disaster anyway, they are determined to not let it ruin their day -- in spite of a shocking surprise from Carl and Patsy that tests their resolve.

9 :01x09 - Dream Lover

Although Rodney and Trina can no longer take another night sleeping on their lumpy mattress, they can't afford to buy a new one. But when Rodney goes shopping at a mattress store, the charming and sexy saleswoman, Carmen, convinces him to buy the most expensive one in the store. Instead of getting a good night's sleep, Rodney has sexy dreams about Carmen and is torn between telling Trina or keeping his secret to himself.

10 :01x10 - It's Up, It's Good

The true spirit of Christmas gets a little lost when Rodney, determined not to disappoint Bo and obsessed with finding the video game the boy so much wants, accidentally pulls down the church's huge religious landmark in his zealous quest. Meanwhile, a single-minded Trina wants the boys to experience the holiday church service up close, and becomes similarly obsessed with getting the family the best seats in the house.

11 :01x11 - Talent Show

As Rodney and son Jack are preparing for their duet at Jack's school talent show, Rodney has to reluctantly cancel when he gets a last-minute out of town standup gig that could really launch his comedy career. Jack acts like it doesn't bother him, but Rodney, wracked with guilt, wonders if he made the right decision. Meanwhile, Trina gives Charlie money to enroll at the local community college, but Charlie focuses more on buying new clothes, getting invited to keg parties and being popular than she does on her studies.

12 :01x12 - Charity Ball

Trina is competing with her co-worker, Irene, for a promotion at work. So when Rodney offers to accompany Trina to her company's fancy charity ball, she needs to make a good impression on her boss, Gordon -- who hates Rodney. Once there, Rodney tries to impress Trina's boss. However, a series of embarrassing incidents aren't likely to help Trina's cause.

13 :01x13 - Sorry Charlie

After man-hungry Charlie goes through yet another bad break-up, a sympathetic Trina lets her camp out with her and Rodney at their home to help her over a string of bad luck with men. To get her out of their house, Rodney takes it upon himself to find Charlie a new guy and introduces her to a promising prospect.

14 :01x14 - Tassels

Charlie surprises everyone when she tells them that she and her latest boyfriend, Kirk, her college professor, are getting married the following week. Rodney, who has his own suspicions about Kirk, gets another surprise when he sees Carl, his father-in-law, being more friendly to Kirk than he has ever been to Rodney, and the two finally have it out about their relationship.

15 :01x15 - Hell Week

Since Rodney and Barry's birthdays are just days apart, they have a tradition they refer to as "Hell Week" in which they play pranks and send each other outrageous gifts the other has to accept. One of Barry's crazy pranks includes publishing Rodney's obituary, which brings an unexpected visitor to Rodney's doorstep-his estranged father who hasn't seen Rodney since he was 16.

16 :01x16 - The Ring

On Valentine's Day, which is also Charlie's wedding day, Rodney wants to get Trina the engagement ring he couldn't afford when they got married. But the jeweler makes a mistake and the diamond for the ring ends up in a very unusual place! Meanwhile, Charlie wonders if she and her fiance, Kirk, can look forward to the same fun and loving relationship that Rodney and Trina have.

17 :01x17 - Rodney's Affair

Rodney and Barry's longtime friendship is tested when a financially-strapped Rodney unwittingly takes a job with Barry's competitor to earn some extra cash. Guilt-ridden, Rodney tries to keep it a secret, but Barry discovers the deception and busts him. Meanwhile, Trina and Charlie have a Tupperware-style "lingerie party" and discover at the end of the party that one of the marital aid gadgets is missing.

18 :01x18 - We Day

While the boys are away camping with their Grampa Carl, Trina looks forward to spending an entire day with Rodney, and even christens it "We Day." They go to a garage sale, buying each other under-a-dollar gifts, including a mannequin named Ruthie. But in the middle of their fun day, Rodney decides he wants to keep a golf date with Barry, causing Trina to question -- with some encouragement from Charley -- why she and her husband can't be together for just one whole day.

19 :01x19 - Rodney Takes a Ship

Rodney gets a job on a cruise ship and is excited that he can accomplish two goals: take Trina on the honeymoon they never had and pay the property taxes. But while Trina is getting over a bout of seasickness, Rodney gambles away all of their spending money. Meanwhile, back home, Charlie throws a party for her junior college friends at Rodney and Trina's, and a reluctant Barry decides to join in the fun.

20 :01x20 - Rodney Moonlights

Things start looking up for Rodney and his career as a standup comic when a talent agent gives him a shot to be in a showcase. But then Trina loses her job at the bank and Rodney is forced to take a second job working nights. Exhausted, Rodney must find a way to stay awake long enough to appear in the showcase.

21 :01x21 - Rodney Gets Robbed

After the family's TV is stolen in a robbery, Trina refuses to let Rodney use their health insurance money to buy a new one. Bo doesn't want to have his friends over without a TV, so Rodney comes up with a creative but somewhat risky solution to get the cash for a new set.

22 :01x22 - Rodney's Big Shot

Just when Rodney gets the chance to spend some special time with his family, his agent gets him a well-paying comedy gig which would take him away from Trina and the boys for two months. Now Rodney and his family must deal with the bittersweet reality of his finally realizing his dream -- even if it means that Rodney has to leave for awhile in order to provide his family with a better life.

23 :02x01 - To Hell and Back

Fearing that he's going to go to hell, Rodney takes desperate action to please the man upstairs by mowing the church lawn and filling in for the minister at the teenage Sunday School class.

24 :02x02 - Question Mark Hamilton

In this flashback episode, Trina realizes that she and Rodney don't know anything about each other, and she has serious doubts about raising a newborn and sharing her life with him.

25 :02x03 - Who's the Man?

Barry confides in Rodney that he has a condition that he's concerned might make him look less masculine. Meanwhile, Rodney has a man-to-man talk with Jack about puberty and the birds and the bees.

26 :02x04 - Halloween and Javier

Rodney brings a surprise guest home to celebrate Halloween with the kids.

27 :02x05 - Keith

Trina's father is forced to lay her off when the car dealership falls on hard times. Rodney and Barry make a plan to bring some extra food home by buying two slabs of beef, but then the Hamiltons end up with an extra mouth to feed.

28 :02x06 - Rodney comes out

Rodney’s manager, Amy, comes on to him, and when Trina pays her a visit, she discovers that Amy is an equal opportunity woman. Meanwhile, Rodney and Trina decide that it’s time for the boys to start earning an allowance by doing chores, so Trina calls Jack’s bluff when he pawns some of his chores off on a friend.

29 :02x07 - O Christmas Trees

Rodney and Trina have a bitter feud over which angel to put on a Christmas tree that her father, Carl, overcharged them for. So when Rodney goes to Carl’s office to demand a new, free family tree, he finds that Carl has been living down and out in his office. In the true spirit of Christmas, Rodney decides to make peace with Carl and invites him to live with them until he gets back on his feet.

30 :02x08 - The Sleepover

Rodney and Trina mistakenly get Jack and his friend drunk at a sleepover. Meanwhile, Charlie falls for a very unlikely candidate.

31 :02x09 - Welcome Ho

Rodney returns home after his first standup comedy tour to find that a lot has changed. His wife’s got new friends who are hanging around the house much more than he’d like, his boys have gotten taller and started liking girls and, somehow, he’s acquired a new fountain in the backyard.

32 :02x10 - A Tisket, A Casket

Rodney’s flaky father, Dale, refuses to help him pay for his estranged and not-well-liked great Aunt Ruth’s funeral. But when Dale shows up at Ruth’s backyard eulogy, Rodney uses it as an opportunity for his boys to get to know his father.

33 :02x11 - Rodney Comes Marching Home

An appearance on “The Bob & Tom Show” creates an opportunity for Rodney to travel to Afghanistan to perform for the troops. But a practical joke gone bad sends him marching home before he can deliver a single punch line.

Trina feels taken for granted when Rodney fails to notice her sexy new haircut. Meanwhile, both Jack and Carl are very unlucky in love.

Rodney and Barry go on a camping trip that turns into a whole other type of adventure.
