Those who dismiss HBO's "Rome" as all toga and no action are in for a jolt.
Sunday's episode climaxes with perhaps the single best action sequence of the year in TV or film. It's savage, shocking and not for the squeamish.
As the episode opens, Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson) is morose over losing both the affection of a slave and the friendship of his fellow veteran Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd). He hires himself out as an assassin, but while Pullo is good at his job, his heart isn't in it. He's soon arrested.
