Butterflies - Recap

Both couples Andy & Luke and Gail & Chris are still together. In fact, Andy and Luke are officially living with one another now. Dov is going crazy with all of the nonsense going on in his apartment. It seems that Andy is settling in pretty nicely and that catches Traci off guard.

There is a concert going on and the officers go to the venue to deal with it. Andy is in charge of the operation. There are shots fired in the crowd and Andy gets shot, but she is okay. She was wearing her vest. Unfortunately, there was a girl talking to her and she has gotten shot in the head. Dov takes the victim to the hospital while Andy takes a minute.

Rosati comes to the crime scene and acquires information. Sam is waiting for Andy outside and there is a man that is loitering. He gets cuffed and the gun is found. He says that he just picked the gun up. Andy gets back to the station and Shaw tells her exactly what he told her on her first day.

Rosati questions Oscar, the loiterer. He still says the gun isn't his and that he really just wanted to sell it. Dov is still at the hospital. The victim's mother shows up and the victim's name is Kate. She is a nurse and knows that it could be really bad. She says that if things go really bad, Kate wants to donate her organs.

They go through whatever witnesses they can and Traci realizes that Oscar was busy talking to his mom on the phone when the actual shots happened. The gun even jammed. Kate is not going to make it and they will not be able to have her organs donated because they need to keep her body "intact". It is important that they get a confession as soon as possible.

Sam thinks that Andy needs to go home, but she refuses to so that they can get the case dealt with. There isn't a lot of luck when it comes to the witnesses. Dov starts going through their cell phones. Andy gets a clue that is useful. Kate was wearing Miranda's jacket. Miranda has a lot of enemies.

One of the witnesses recognizes one of the people in the photos that they are showing to them. They say that they saw this person right near Miranda at the concert. It was Adrian Sparks. He is a teaching assistant that has been harassing Miranda for a while now. She has filed several complaints and nothing has been done about it. He wasn't happy because he didn't get a position due to her complaints.

Andy goes to get Adrian, but he is busy being physically violent against Miranda. He wants to run off the roof, because he just wants all of it to be over with. He doesn't succeed and he gets brought in for questioning. Kate luckily gets to be an organ donor now that they have found the murderer.

They clean up and Chris and Gail are talking. He says to her that Dov's brother killed himself and his parents got divorced. Gail wants to move out. Chris doesn't think that's a good idea. Andy goes looking for Luke and he's getting nostalgic with Rosati. Andy talks to Luke about it and he says that he has no regrets no matter what.
