Route 66 (1993)

In this updated version of the classic 1960's series, the illegitimate son of the late Buz Murdock (a character in the original series) is willed the classic Corvette his father used when traveling the highways and byways of America back in the early 60's. Deciding to follow in daddy's footsteps, sonny picks up a hitchhiker and they travel around the country searching for the meaning of life. The series lasted for only four episodes as a summer replacement show on NBC in 1993. James Wilder and Dan Cortese co-starred.
