Hank works feverishly on the man who was shot at the end of the previous episode while Boris and his guards watch impassively. Hank asks for help several times before Boris agrees and has two of his guards assist. Hank manages to extract the bullet that was in his heart but has to keep his finger plugging the hole in the heart to keep the man alive. The man is rushed to the hospital and into surgery with Hank still having his finger in the heart...

Episode Quotes
Eddie R. Lawson: How is this place so empty? I don't get it. When we left here earlier, there were flashing lights, there were squad cars, yellow tape...
Hank: Maybe they've already finished.
Eddie R. Lawson: No, not that fast. Something is going on.
Hank: Dad! Nothing is going on.

Evan: The meeting kinda... got out of control.
Hank: Yeah, kinda reminded me of my old Brooklyn Hospital meetings. Way too much talking and nothing gets done.
Evan: So basically the same nightmare scenario you pictured when I pitched expansion?
Hank: Well it helped that you were suffering through the meeting too.

Hank: I'm gonna do an EKG.
Veronica Sullivan: Fun!

Divya: Just my mother.
Hank: It's a start.
Divya: She left my father.
Hank: Wow! That's, that's... how do you feel?
Divya: Honestly? Responsible.
Hank: Why would you be responsible?
Divya: Hank I encouraged her to do it.

Hank: I am not going to apologize for saving that man, I took an oath...
Boris: I know, I know. I have come to thank you. I acted emotionally last night, out of concern for my family.
Hank: You family?
Boris: The man was discovered under Carlos' bedroom window. I have no illusions about what he was after. And with all you've witnessed this summer, do you?

Evan: Are you being a little, extra, Paigey?
Paige: I don't know what that means.

Ms. Newberg: (referring to Eddie) Between interviews for book publishers and now a shooting, he's worn himself out!
Hank: Yeah.
Ms. Newberg: We only made love once today.
Hank: Thank you for sharing that.

visual: Divya returns to the Lawson home to find flowers everywhere and Evan typing on the computer.
Divya: Early wedding planning?
Evan: Giant HankMed launch party planning actually. Paige went rogue.

Evan: (blurts out) Paige invited 300 people to the HankMed launch party! Give or take.
Hank: I'm sorry, did you just say launch party?
Divya: Hank, it's not Evan's fault....
Evan: Bugger off, Divya!

Hank: Why didn't you just tell me?
Boris: I assumed you wouldn't want to be involved. Hank in your profession, you see a problem and you treat it, ja? It is a controlled environment, everything is primarily black or white. For me, not so simple.

Paige: I told you that, that they fired the director and let us all go, but that's not what happened.
Evan: Then what happened?
Paige: The director tried to sleep with me. That's the only reason I was hired.
Evan: I thought the director was a woman. (Paige just stares at him) Ohh! Ohh!

Rubina Katdare: Divya, I have never been in love. I hope when you're my age you cannot say the same thing.

Hank: I am so impressed with you Evan. You're really good at what you do. I'm proud to be your partner and your brother.

Evan: Moving right along to the schedules...
Hank: Wait, before we do I have a business item for the agenda.
Evan: That's adorable Hank.
Hank: Thank you.

Hank: If I'm gonna work with you I need to be sure it doesn't make me a part of something I don't believe in.
Boris: Then find out.
Hank: How?
Boris: I need your help. Would you be interested in joining me in a venture?
Hank: I'm listening.

Cultural References
Hank: You had a heterotopic heart transplant?

A heterotopic heart procedure is one in which the recipient's original heart is left in place and the donor heart is surgically joined with it to make effectively a double heart.

Evan: Its like the poppy field from The Wizard of Oz in here, Divya!

The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 musical fantasy film which contained fields of magical poppies.

Episode References
Boris: (to Hank, referring to the intruder) The man was discovered under Carlos' bedroom window. I have no illusions about what he was after. And with all you've witnessed this summer, do you?

Boris is referring to himself being slowly poisoned over the years by a trusted assistant at the direction of other relatives. Hank makes this discovery in episode 3x08, Run, Hank, Run.
