Next Episode -->
The scene opens a little girl narrating the life of Steve Wilde, the son to a very rich oil investor and he has everything he needs. Steve walks out and tells that he is not a generous man and that he doesn’t deserve humanitarian of the year award. Migo, the butler tells that he deserves everything and then there is a knock on the door. It is Fa'ad, Steve’s neighbor who he keeps wanting to one up with everything. Steve realizes that Fa'ad has a new horse and he tells that he wants to show off a new horse. He gets saddled up and takes the horse outside only to find that Fa'ad’s horse is small. He tells that they get more expensive the smaller they are. Steve is upset and Mr. Lunt, Steve’s personal secretary, runs to make him happy again. He rushes to Steve’s side and tells that everyone didn’t RSVP and he asks about Emmy. Mr. Lunt tells that she is in the Amazon and she is trying to fight against his father.

The scene changes and we are introduced to Emmy, Steve’s first love, and the narrator, Puddle, also Emmy’s daughter. She narrates more that her mom is with her and her mom’s new boyfriend Andy in the Amazon trying to fight against the trees getting cut down. Andy and Emmy protest and Andy is tied to a tree and the tractor. The tractor starts up and Andy asks if they know that he is there. They start stretching Andy and then stop once they see him. Andy goes inside the tent and tells Andy that he mailed a package to the oil company and Emmy tells that it was a bad idea because she knows the Wilde’s son Steve and that they were involved and then changes the subject. Puddle gets a letter from Steve and it is her ticket out of the Amazon and into freedom.

On the night of the party, Steve begins to think that he made a mistake getting the horse in the car and Migo tells that he doesn’t make bad mistakes. Steve arrives at the party late and drunk as is customary for him and his secretary tells them to get him some coffee. Steve denies the coffee and tells that there is nothing worse then a wide awake drunk person. He runs up and asks for his plaque and sees Emmy. He is stunned and tells that he needs coffee to sober up. She tells that she needs to talk to him and he tells that she looks beautiful. In the closet, they fight off the urge to kiss and she finally tells that he needs to talk to his dad about the tree cutting and village destruction. He tells that it is complicated and she tells that he is about to get an award for being a humanitarian. She realizes that it is an award from himself and tells that he is the same selfish jerk from before. She walks away and he sees his plaque and tells that Fa'ad is going to be jealous.

Later, Steve tells Migo how he and Emmy met and Emmy is telling Puddle the same story. This was about when they first met and that they stayed in a tree house that Migo and his father built for Steve. That was until Emmy’s mother got fired and Steve refused to talk to his father. She left after that. Emmy and Puddle pull up to Steve’s house and Steve answers. Emmy tells that she was too hard on him and he tells that she liked what she told him. He shuts the door on Puddle and tells that kids try to get in all the time. Emmy tells that it is her daughter. He invites her in and she doesn’t say a word. Emmy tells Steve that she hasn’t talked for six months. He shows that he has changed and that he went on his jet to Peru and brought the whole village that Emmy was researching to his mansion. She is insulted and tells that he is a selfish jerk and only does things when he gets something in return.

Steve goes to his car drunk and Puddle is in the back. He tells that he doesn’t read minds. Suddenly Puddle talks and says that she can’t go back to the jungle. Steve is shocked and tells her not to tell anyone that he can read minds. Inside, Puddle tells that she could always talk, but chose not to because she didn’t want to live in the jungle. They organize a plan that will keep her there. Emmy walks in and Steve tells that Puddle is with the psychiatrist and that he is evaluating her. They walk out and it is Fa'ad who is the doctor. He tells that Puddle has to go to regular schools and that she can’t go back to the jungle. They mess it up but Emmy misses it and tells that she can’t stay there. Steve convinces Emmy to stay in their old tree house that was built for them. He tells that he doesn’t ever work and that he doesn’t have a single callas on his hand. She looks at them and asks where the mark came from and he tells that he plays golf with his friend Fa'ad and tells that Fa'ad has never had a job in his life. Emmy catches Steve in the lie and starts to leave.

Outside, Migo tells that Steve is a good man and he blames himself for not helping. But he is paid to be his friend and not his dad. Emmy tells him not blame himself and that he lied and harmed a girl that doesn’t speak. Puddle finally speaks up and she is happy that she can speak. Emmy is mad that Steve didn’t tell her that Puddle could speak. She goes to Steve and asks what was in it for him to lie that Puddle couldn’t speak. He says nothing. Steve did something for nothing and Emmy is excited. She tells that they will stay and Puddle is excited that they are going to be staying.
