Mental Flaws - Recap

The scene opens with Steve getting ready for fencing and Fa’ad has a tool belt for actual “fencing”. Fa’ad has tricked Steve again. Steve gloats that he is going to a charitable event with Emmy on “Safe Water for Africa”. He shows a picture in a magazine called “NY Style” of him and Emmy. However, the picture is actually photo shopped badly because he had Miko’s nephew help with Steve constantly changing things. He tells Fa’ad that Emmy is going to the charity with him and that the picture is no problem because Emmy won’t see it. However, in the tree house, Emmy is reading “NY Style” and Puddle tells that there is a picture of Emmy and Steve. Outside, Steve tries to give Emmy some makeup and hair extensions. She calls Steve “superficial” and tells that she is not going to put that on.

Later in the tree house, Emmy tells that she could do something different for charity and she starts to think that maybe Steve is not superficial. Meanwhile, Steve is casting for the role of Emmy and Emmy comes in and tells that it is important and she would be proud to go with him. She tells that she thought everything was fake. She bites into an apple and it chips her tooth. Steve tells that he will fly in a dentist and Emmy tells that she will go to the dentist school. Steve tells that he doesn’t want her to smile and Emmy tells that Steve does care on how she looks. Later, Emmy has her tooth fixed and she is sewing up the sheets that Steve ruined and Puddle asks why they are sewing up their sheets. Emmy tells that she doesn’t throw something out at the slight imperfection. She tells that is how Steve is and Miko tells that it is not true. The scene shows Miko cashing in on Steve’s tossing things out as he brings in a cappuccino machine, an alpaca and even a maid. Emmy tells that she is going to show that Steve is superficial still. She grabs the make-up that Steve gave her and tells Miko to promise not to tell Steve.

As he climbs down, Steve is there and he asks about Emmy’s tooth. Miko tells that Steve needs to tell Emmy that he is going to take Emmy to the event no matter what. Later, Steve passes by a room and Emmy is there leaning on a pool table in a sexual manner and he is attracted. He tells that he is an understanding guy and then she reveals a rash and she tells that it is nothing and Steve says the right thing and tells that he is going to take her no matter what. Emmy sees something in Steve. Miko tells that he can tell Steve what he was hiding and Steve tells that he doesn’t need to hear it and tells that he needs to get out of taking Emmy. He had another casting session and Miko tells that a doctor already cleared Emmy and Fa’ad tells that he would love to play the doctor. Miko is sworn to secrecy.

Mr. Lunt starts to call actors who have played doctors and gets Jonathan from “30 Rock”. Miko gets Emmy to go to a doctor and she thinks that Steve actually cares for her. However, when she gets in, she recognizes the actor and tells that she knows that Steve is faking it. A real nurse comes in and grabs a container and tells that he needs to get the culture to the lab, but it is gone. Emmy is on the floor because she took it to take the pills. Later, Steve is taking care of Emmy and she tells that she is feeling better. He tells that he’ll take her to the Gala and tells that she will go as she is. Emmy looks at herself and then tells that she needs her hair and make-up done. Steve is relieved.
