It's a Trade-Off - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens with Emmy making sure that Puddle has her homework done and there are baby eagles in their tree house making a lot of noise. Emmy considers moving out of the tree house and into Steve’s house. She drives Puddle to school and one of student’s parents drives up and asks how life in the tree house is condescendingly. Emmy considers the move even more. She gets back and sees Miko shooting into the tree at the squawking eagles. He tells that they are tranquiller darts, but when a squirrel falls dead, it is clear. She tells that she is going be moving into the house. Emmy walks in to find Steve lying on the stairs with cones around him.

He gets up and tells that he was at an A-List party and that he made it on page 6. He tells that it is hard work and that he has to maintain a certain image. Fa’ad is also “coned” and he tells that he peed in the Lincoln Memorial fountain. However, the fountain that Fa’ad really peed in was Steve’s fountain. Emmy tells that she could do what he does with no problem. Steve invites her to a party to see how tiring it really is. Later at the party, Emmy tells that she is having a fun time and that it is simple to do this. She spots a woman named Anna Laurrie, editor of Vogue. She walks up to her and Fa’ad has an eye patch and he starts to laugh with a B instead of a H. Steve tells that it is not catchy. Emmy tries to talk to Anna and she is ignored. Steve walks up to her and gets noticed. He introduces Emmy and tells her that she is on her own. Meanwhile at the house, Mr. Lunt is showing Puddle photo books and tells that he is only doing it because she asks if he was ever her age.

Back at the party, Emmy talks to Anna and she likes the ideas that Emmy has for the foundation. Steve asks how she is doing and Emmy tells that she is doing great and so she won the bet of how easy it is. He tells that the night is not over. She tells that she needs to get Puddle up for school and that she has a project due too. Steve tells her to raise the stakes and that he can do her life for a few more days and Emmy can do his job. They agree. The next morning, Steve gives Puddle chocolate cake for breakfast and she tells that she needs to get her Cuba booth completed. She tells that she needs to get to school and Steve drives her to her school, after getting directions from a Private Investigator, in his Corvette. He gets her to school and 1 and 40 minutes late to school.

Emmy walks in and she is a little tipsy. She tells that she behaved responsibly. Emmy asks if Steve did his job right and tells that she has another party to go to. Steve gets a call from Puddle’s Jr. High School and turns out that Puddle fell asleep in Math Class during a Math test because of the chocolate cake. He tells that she needs to pick it up if he is going to win the bet with Emmy. She shows him to her Booth and it is a mess. He tells that they need to make it nicer and the parent that Puddle needs everyone to be nice to, tells that they need to make food. Steve and Puddle rush to get the Empanadas and then realize that they have to make 70-100 of them. At Steve’s house later that night, Emmy has Anna over and they talk about the fashion show coming up. Steve comes out and asks why people are there. He sees that they are eating his Empanadas and yells at them. Anna is disgusted and tells that they don’t need to hang out. Emmy, to keep Anna’s friendship, tells that they can have the party at Steve’s place. She is happy again.

Later, Steve is making the Empanadas again and Fa’ad is helping out. Emmy comes in and almost let spill the location of the party tonight. Steve and Puddle have the Cuba booth on the back of the Corvette and the Private Investigator tells him a little bit about Cuba and also tells that the party is going to be at his house. At the school, the Cuba booth isn’t doing any good and Steve loses it with the parent that he supposed to be nice to and Puddle runs off. Meanwhile, Emmy is upset with Anna when she tells that her greatest helper is Fa’ad and not Emmy. She trips on the steps and passes out. Steve comes in and finds that Emmy has been “coned” and she tells that she lost it and Steve tells that he lost it too. Steve tells that they are good to have found respect for each other and Emmy tells that they are going to give moving in with Steve a try.
