The scene opens with Puddle and Fa’ad looking out at the rain from a window and she tells him about a weather man, which is actually Fa’ad with a blonde wig and a different name. After some time, Steve comes into the room and is happy to hear that Fa’ad is planning a nightclub on a swamp. They exchange views on how useful it will be for the FEMA victims, as they have lost their wine cellars and sound systems in the flood. The multi-level plan gets Steve all excited, and Fa’ad has planned a level for gays. That makes Steve fantasize on a bisexual mezzanine, and as their talk get dirty, Steve gets careful as Puddle is with them.

Steve wants Mr. Lunt to set up an appointment with the accountant, especially as he needs to liquidate funds for the nightclub. Lunt is unable to find the cappuccino maker, and Steve tells him to use the coffee maker. After Lunt leaves the room, Steve admits to Fa’ad that he is looking to get rid of Lunt, but he is eavesdropping on them. Emmy comes in after helping out at a swamp, and catches Lunt straining to earwig.
Emmy discovers that Steve and Fa’ad are planning a nightclub, but she says they ought to be helping the flood victims with her. Steve does not want to help out digging swamp, and hopes if Migo will be of any use. However, Emmy tries coaxing Steve to help by volunteering, saying it will feel extremely good. However, Steve pushes off wanting to play no part. Later, Lunt, irritated about the missing coffee blender, suspects that Emmy might be with Steve to marry, divorce him and take his money. Emmy finds it ridiculous, but Lunt wants her to sign a per-nuptial agreement that she will not go after Steve’s money in case she divorces him after they get married. Although Emmy refuses, she agrees to do it on the condition that Lunt gives her men to help the flood victims.
As Steve and Fa’ad discuss the nightclub plan, it turns out that Steve does not have enough cash to buy the property for it immediately. Later, Emmy finds out that Andy is the one to have stolen the cappuccino maker. He has also stolen Steve’s microwave. When Lunt comes in, he stumbles over to cover the objects, but Lunt can make out. Andy thinks he is going to call the police, and suggests that they should blame it on the kid, referring to Emmy’s daughter Puddle. He also tries to convince Emmy that Steve’s household members are a bunch of crooks, and claims to be opening Emmy’s eyes. She says he did just that and asks him to get out of the house and end their relationship. When Andy is leaving, he praises Steve for being generous, especially as he carries coins worth 300 dollars in a water jar.
After Andy leaves, Steve assumes that Emmy has broken off with him for good. However, Emmy turns on him thinking he had set up the per-nuptial agreement plan, although Lunt had told her that Steve will not know about it. Emmy thinks he is being deceptive. However, Steve tells her, now that Andy’s gone, he thought he could have her. Just then, as the accountant gets to know about the per-nuptial agreement, he tells Steve that the money will not be a problem, as Steve would get an engagement bonus if he planned to marry Emmy. Steve is all thrilled to know this.

Later Steve talks about his plans for the engagement bonus with Migo. He is surprised to know that Andy and Emmy have broken off, but also tells Steve that if he wanted Emmy to pretend to be engaged with him, the least he can do is pretend to feel sorry for her breakup with Andy. It turns out that the accountant have been swindling money from Steve’s funds since he was a kid, but Steve could hardly understand what was going on. Even now, he has the bleakest of idea about it.
Later in the night, Steve tries to cheer up Emmy with ice cream and a Sex in the City DVD. Steve tells her about the engagement bonus, which will help him build the nightclub. When he insists that it will make him happy, Emmy tries to explain that happiness comes from within, by doing something good and not expecting anything in return. However, it takes Emmy an hour to explain, and yet Steve is expecting a surprise from her after he finishes swamp digging. Emmy seems to give up, but Steve realizes what she is talking about after watching the DVD.
The next day, as Steve is getting ready to go swamp digging, Fa’ad calls to inquire about the engagement bonus. Steve replies that he is keeping that at bay for now, as he wants to make Emmy happy, and later get her to sign. However, Fa’ad would rather look for another investor if it gets too late.
At the FEMA camp, Steve is getting ready to dig. Just as Lunt promised Emmy men for helping out, he has them at the site. They arrive in a correction center van, all dressed in convict uniform. Steve wonders why they look like the people who used to work in his accountant’s firm. Emmy is aghast at the prison uniform, but when she hears that the folks are from the accountant’s firm, she seems happy to go ahead with them. Digging appears difficult, as the ground is wet and every hole they dig just gets covered up pretty fast. Emmy realizes that effort alone will not do any good, and they need funds.

Emmy now hopes that she can use the engagement bonus for charity work. She takes Steve to the nightclub to have a talk with Fa’ad, but the accountant has already planned a surprise engagement party. While Steve is about to say that he and Emmy are not really looking to… Emmy interrupts saying ‘get married right now, it will be a long engagement.’ A while later, when Steve and Emmy get talking, she learns that Steve wants to marry her. She says it won’t work, and discovers the per-nuptial agreement with him when he tears it up saying honesty is more important. The nightclub, which is built on a swamp, starts sinking just after Emmy leaves blaming Steve for deception and building marital hopes on a weak foundation!
