| In the anime, Kenshin uses the words, that I am , but in the manga, Kenshin never uses the pronouns I or me. He usually refers himself as this one. Only when he is in the battousai mode, he uses I or me in the manga.
| In the manga series, Kaoru's caretaker is Kihei Hiruma who is the older brother of Gohei Hiruma. However, Kihei does not appear in the anime show.
| In the manga series, the characters of Ayame and Suzume does not exist and the character of Dr. Gensai is of less important. His character only appears much later in the story.
