Kenshin Himura, also known as Battousai the Man Slayer, disappeared during the end of the chaos of the Revolution. Now during the peaceful time of the Meiji, he is known as a wanderer, never staying too long in one place. The title Battousai isn't used by the man named Kenshin during the peaceful times after the Shogunate fell during the Bakumatsu. Since that time he has vowed to never kill again after the blood he spilt during the Revolution. 10 years later he now travels to bring peace and justice to the land and people of Japan as attonement for his sins. He now fights with a sakabotou (reverse blade sword) so as to not slay an opponent while still using his Hiten Mitsurugi style of swordsmanship to defeat any opponents he might still have folllowing the revolution. Along his path of wandering he eventually finds many friends along the way, as well as many enemies from the past. Some hunt Kenshin to be known as the strongest of the Revolution, while others blindly take him on not knowing of his true origins. No matter the opponent, Kenshin Himura fights his opponents to defeat them in order to ensure peace and prosperity throughout Japan for future generations.
