  Episode Notes
The entire 1st season has been cut to bits, due to many "controversial" issues. DiC (the dubbing company) tried to turn it into a 100% kiddie show, cutting out several epsidoes that were'harmful' and there were only minute- removable scenes too!.

All transformations of the scouts have been edited to remove body lines. There are no Sailor Scouts, but Sailor Soldiers in the original version

The Sailor Moon Says segment sat the end of each episode did not exist in the original show, nor did the computer graphics that make the screens change (like the big tiara forming). The Sailor Moon Says segments were removed in seasons 4~5 when a new dubber, CWI, took control.

Luna was originally a teenager like Serena, but obtained a "nanny" character in the dub, right down to her British accent.

Some scenes were cut, such as a scene of Serena kicking a door while imitating her favorite super-hero, Sailor V, and hurting herself. Another removed scene included Serena's mother attacked her after seeing her bad grade.

Due to major "butchering" to episodes, the music was also completely removed and changed to an original "DiC" collection. It's not bad, but very repetitive and overused.

Queen Beryl is talking to the "Negaforce," but in the original, it's really a sleeping empress named Metallia. Also, in the original, it was the "Dark Kingdom," not the "Negaverse."

At the end of her transformation, Sailor Moon makes a V symbol over her eyes. This was originally Sailor V's pose.

In the battle for the rights to dub, Saban ("Power Rangers") decided to make their own Sailor Moon, that mixed, CGI, Live Action, and Cartoon in one. "Luna" was white, while the "scouts" were darker in colour, and even in a wheelchair. People weren't to keen on the idea, and DiC won and Dubbed 65 original episodes. This would explain the Sailor Moon Car/Fighting Mobile that they had as a toy, in which the Japanese Series had no indication of a Sailor Moon Car, because it was actually Saban's theme design.

According to the DIC Promo tape, thanks to the "http://toonamiarsensal.com", Serena was original going to be named Victoria, Amy => Lu, Raye => Dana, Lita => Sela, and Mina => Carrie, and Tuxedo Mask => The Masked Tuxedo. Queen Beryl and Luna kept their names. Thankfully they used names closer to there original names.

In the Manga, Serena is called Bunny. Usagi is Japanese for Bunny.

The 4 Generals:
: Malachite, Zoicite, Nephrite, and Jadeite, are all named after different forms of Jade. Also, in the Moon Kingdom, they used to serve under Prince Endymion/Darien, until Beryl killed the and then possessed them.

This is the only time Babara Radecki plays the voice of Queen Serenity.

Usagi Tsukino failed to keep her name in the dub, and was named Serena Campbell, Sammy's original name was Shingo, and Mrs. Campbell's name is Ikkuko Tsukino (her first and last name was failed to be mentioned at all during the DiC dub. However, in the 3rd episode of SuperS, it is the first and only episode for Ikkuko to get mentioned.

  Episode Quotes
Serena: I just wanna play Sailor V games. I don't wanna live them!

Molly's Mother: 20 carats of real diamond, but for you 10 dollars.
Molly and Serena: 20 CARATS, 10 DOLLARS?!
Horde of shoppers: MINE!!!

Serena: I'm hallucinating, I'm hallucinating!
Luna: (Stands on Serena's head) SERENA YOU ARE NOT HALLUCINATING!

  Episode Goofs
In the original version of Sailor moon, the words were "Moon Prism power, Make up!" But in the dub, it has been greatly shortened for time and voice matching.

Have you noticed that when Serena's little red things that are on her hair flash and she hears Molly's voice? Well, this doesn't happen in any other episode at all!! (and its not even DiC's fault)

In the jewelery store, Molly said to Serena "Where are you going?", but Serena showed no indication of wanting to go anywhere.

  Cultural References
In Japanese culture they believe in a "Rabbit in the Moon' rather than a man. This would explain why Serena's nickname is bunny. The password for Central Control is really "The rabbit in the Moon pounds moshi (rice)"
